Sapper6 Update

A few of the guys I met during the short 4 months from purchase of my GXP to my deployment have been asking how I am and what I have been up to. Rather than responding a number of times I thought it best to update in one shot.

I cant wait ti get home and take the car for a good road trip. Mod'ing her will be a certain joy upon return.

I have attached some pictures of myself and some of the boys on my team.



I am in the prone looking for bad guys when my number 2 says smile. I look and say "What!" and this is what I get



My wife says my GXP is safe in the garage. Taken out of shopping runs on occasion to keep her fresh. But I know she is driving around in it so I am looking for it in the hillls at around 11,000 ft. Being a woman she could be anywhere



My fellow long gun, Owen, roughing it with some instant coffee.

Nice! Dunno if you in the eastern part of the state as well, but I believe there's a monthly get-together in Hope Mills south of Fayettnam. There's also Cars and Coffee in both Raleigh and Charlotte and owners in both areas typically go.

How extensive is the mod list you have planned?

I knew about cars and coffee, but not the hope Mills meet. I am just north of Hope Mills. Thanks for the info. I am an old member of a GTP club in Southern CA before I lost her to a dude that ran a red light in Fayettenam. But it’s her demise that got me my GXP, so there is good in all things.

@Silver Bullet - man that’s a hell of a question. I want it all, but I am married so my Commander and Chief keeps me from selling my kids for Mods. I worked my 2000 GTP for 10 years. In the end she had diamond forged pistons, bored to 4.0, heads, custom exhaust, IC, complete handeling revision, lowered and headers..blah, blah. I spent more on mods than I did to buy the car new. But I took my time. I intend to do the same here. Every car I have owned has been super charged, so shall the GXP in time.

I am still very much in the research phase. Gathering info. Right now I am looking at CAI (probably RotoFab), Long headers, exhaust and tune. Drilled and slotted rotors because I like the way they look. I want to lower it but not change the ride to much, probably springs, but we will see. There other details like catch can and other smaller things I am looking in to. The base must be ready for a Magnacharger TVS2300 G8 Supercharger Kit. I would to cam her before the supercharger but I will probably have to buy another cam after the supercharger if I do that. Currently I am looking for around 600HP (With SC) till I figure out the Transmission strength issue. My GTP had a 1000HP rated trans and I look very much for dependability by getting quality parts and moving with precision. The board helps me figure it all out.

And yes the color rocks! We have very good taste. ;-)

sapper; what 3 perks do you have equipped and do you mostly play tdm or domination?

Im sure you will be researching all your parts extensively and pick the good stuff. Based on what I have heard Century Trans is where to go to get your 6l80 rebuilt to hold good power. They arent cheap though (3000-3500$). Some guys are running 550 to 650 and even more at the wheels with the stock trans and getting away with it but the trans tune has to be right.
