Run-ins with ones' old car...

I was sitting at my desk this morning when a coworker goes to the window next to me. He says "Hey James, didn't you use to have one of those cars?" A red cobalt ss/sc is sitting outside. I take a look from above. Black badges, sunroof, ss badge placement says 2005...so it's my old cars twin, right?

Then I look at the license plate. The last digit is 5 numbers higher than my G8!!! We had a new guy start today...turns out it's MY old Cobalt!!! What a weird morning...anyone else have any weird, unexpected run-ins with their old car?

North Hills. I think I see your G8 around occasionally. Do you work on Mt. Nebo?

Yessir! Not for long, though...I'm moving my offices back down to the South Hills, closer to where I live. Tired of driving 23 miles each way. Car just turned 60k the other day. Hard to believe...

Garage
I had a '67 Mustang convertible in high school.
I traded it even for an '86 Trans Am in 1990. Stupid, I know.

Anyway, I saw my Stang a couple years later at a bar. I went over and popped the hood to look at the engine...I missed her. Anyway, the guy came storming out to kick my ass. Once I explained to him I was the one that literally did everything to the car he laughed and we went in for a beer.

What is even more weird is when you see your old Harley around town. For me a bike is even more personal.

My wife and I were in NJ about 3 years after I traded my 04 Maxima in when I bought the G8 and saw my old maxima on the Garden State Parkway.
