Sold the G8

Well, It happened. The G8 is gone. Flame suit is on so fire away. For those interested I pressed hard for 20k and settled for 19.5k on a trade. For a car that cost 313xx getting 19.5 back after 49 months I thought was good. Putting that at the SHO and a bit more down, the monthly payment is easy. The SHO is pretty quick for a 3.5L turbo. My kids like the rear heated seats. The Bluetooth, park assist (don't really Need that), blind spot activation and torque vectoring all wheel drive are things I do like. If I really want to get out and drop the hammer I'll take the Marauder out with 412RWHP and 440RW Torque and spank a lot of cars including every non blown G8 :-)).

This car was a blast and you all here have helped in the enjoyment. Have a safe New Years everyone.
Bill

Congrats on the purchase. How is the interior space vs. the G8? Now go get a tune and downpipe for that SHO and wake it up!

I am also interested to know how many miles. My 09 has 50k mikes and the best trade I could find was 18k. Kbb showed 19, 500 trade in. I am also curious to know what kind of deal they gave you on the sho.

Congrats on the new car. Now all you need is a Livernois Tune and meth kit. If you haven't already, check out shoforum.com.

I saw a brand new 2012 SHO AWD on NY eve. It's sticker said 44595, but the dealership said 35,995. I thought that was a great price for how much car you get. It just seems like such a big car. For me, the G8 is the perfect size. That's why I can't wait for the Chevy SS. But price will probably keep me out of that.

2008 MGM G8GT no mods, I'm the first and third owner! Just glad to be driving a G8 again!

It may look bigger from the outside, it definitely sits much higher, but I guess I was commenting more on the interior dimensions - and the G8 is noticeably roomier. I believe the SHO is an inch or so wider and a few inches longer and it also weighs about 400 lbs more too. BUT - interior-wise the G8 trumps it and it also rides on a longer wheelbase (which probably adds to the look that the SHO sits high)

Taurus is longer, taller, wider and heavier. Maybe you mean interior dimensions?
