Arrow Goodbye, G8 GT...

I'm sad to say my last day with the GT was Sunday. It was time to move on (though I'm questionably doubting my decision). I bought a 2012 Buick Regal GS on Saturday. It's a great car, but obviously not even in the ballpark on power vs. the GS.

I really enjoyed the community of G8 owners during my time owning both G8's! I still plan on stopping by G8board (and that other board...) to see what's going on. I plugged the board to the guy that bought my car, so hopefully you'll see him here soon. He sounds like he'll take very good care of it!

2012 Buick Regal GS 6spd Manual | Roof | Nav | 19" wheels

SBM | Premium & Sport + Roof | Staggered Camaro 20" Wheels | 35/20 Tint - SOLD but missed...

I recently started a thread about the Regal GS w/ 6 speed because I was so impressed by it when I test drove one waiting for my car @ gm dealer.

I miss driving a manual, the car is very well put together. Enjoy

Yea--I agree! I really missed driving a manual (except this morning when my commute sucked! LOL). I just miss the feeling when in the G8 of being smashed into your seat when you step on the gas. On the other hand, the GS handles like a champ. The ride control settings are immediately noticeable--especially GS mode. The tech in the car is miles better, as is the fit and finish. It's incredibly quiet, which is great except for the exhaust note. My first mod is going to be this:

http://www.buickforums.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=25099

I'll probably also do a K&N. I highly doubt anyone has a CAI for this car yet, but maybe...

I'll try to post some photos later tonight.

One thing is for sure for all of us; after joining this board and having the G8, we will not settle for a stock ride!

happy modding on the new Buick!

Nice buy. I really like the GS, I even test drove one a while back. It just wasn't fast enough for me.

So is the trunk big enough for the standard walker to fit in or do you have to buy a special custom walker that will fit? Also do you plan to have your walker color matched to your Buick? It would be bad ass IMHO to have a color matched walker!

LMAO! Just bustin your chops, enjoy the "old man" car.

Just my guess, but with the announced return of a Grand National and GNX I doubt they will push this one too much further. It would be nice to have the turbo v6 that they used in the OPC though.

How do the forum posts go on Buickforums.com?

Lounge

"Hey gents, I stopped to get some new dentures today and the darndest thing happened . . . "
"Who else here thinks car washes are the best invention since tennis balls on the bottom of the rear legs of walkers?"

Kill section;

"Raced a dame in a Chevy Cruze today, from Rite Aid to Pearle Vision."

Let's talk interior;

"This leather is supple."
"My, my, how quiet it is inside this cabin, I can almost hear my pacemaker"
"It's so quiet, I can turn down my hearing aid"

Appearance;

"Took the GS through the car wash, again, she is sparkling!"
"Got a book of 25 washes for the price of 20, excited!, you betcha!"
"Anyone join the car wash club at ScrubADub?, worth it?"
