FS: 2009 G8 GXP Liquid Red M6, 42xxx mi in CO

[b]Edit: 6/21: Car is sold. Thanks all. Mods, please close this thread.

Hi guys, the time has come to see about parting with the G8. It's been a great car but I'm looking at diverging my fast/practical car needs into two separate cars.

If you're looking here then you probably know all about GXPs, but the specs specific to my car:
  • 45,xxx miles - going up slowly as it's my DD (but I don't commute)
  • Solo Mach Shorty Balanced catback exhaust (J-pipes)
  • Solo Hi-flow Cats installed (also have original cats)
  • Rotofab intake (also have original airbox)
  • Dyno Tuned by MAC Autosport in Parker, CO
  • Camaro 20" Wheels with General G-Max rubber (245/35/20 in front, 275/30/20 in the rear)
  • DBA 4000 series slotted/drilled rotors front & rear
  • Hawk HPS pads on all 4 corners
I also have the original 19" GXP wheels with snow tires, as well as a set of 17" GTO wheels + bias ply drag tires I have used on the car at the drag strip.

I'm the original owner, bought it new from Mike Shaw Pontiac/Buick/GMC in Colorado Springs, CO at the end of September 2009. It was the last manual GXP left in the state. Never in an accident, should be a clean Carfax.

It's been a great car and needs nothing mechanically except a new set of rear tires sometime this year. There's a few minor cosmetic blemishes, including a couple parking lot door dings on the right rear passenger door, as well as a minor scuff on the rear bumper from someone rolling into me at some point. Neither are very noticeable and I'm happy to take pics. As it's a CO car there are also a few minor paint chips missing on the front fascia, but that's to be expected. It does have a clear bra on the leading edge of the hood.

Performance: It's great. On the dyno, it proved to be just below 400whp - see dyno chart below:

Never had GM say a word about any of the mods, drivetrain warranty should extend until 100k or September of 2014.

Car has also been a blast at Bandimere over the years. Have done Club Clash for 2 of the 3 seasons I have owned it but have never abused it - no forced induction, no NOS, etc.

Below are a few videos I suspect you will enjoy:

PM me with any questions, more than happy to show the car. I haven't had it detailed yet but intend to soon.

The price is firm at $30,000 for the car and all extras, or $29,000 for the car with one set of wheels on it. Many agree this is a smoking deal for a GXP.

Thanks for looking!

Good luck, Tremek, sad to see you go. I've ridden in this car and it was very clean, looks great, and sounds AMAZING. Great guy!

Thanks regalturbo, definitely not "going", just shuffling prioritization of fun stuff. Looking at picking up a Land Cruiser DD for a bit and then possibly next year looking at something fast and ridiculous like a ZR1, GT-R, or a 911 Turbo... After a move and some other stuff.

Pics got derailed by bad weather (snow) - will get some up later this week as weather permits. Have had a number of interested parties reach out but nothing concrete yet.

Edit: a few fun uploads, pics taken at Bandimere over the years:

Just rolled over to 43,0xx miles, OP updated to reflect that. Have two keenly interested parties that seem to look like they're getting their finances in order, but the car is technically still available. Let me know if you're interested - thanks!

Nice looking car... GLWS.

Looking at your sig, I'm surprised the G8 is quicker than the Cayenne, I thought they were beasts.

It's an '06 Turbo S with the 4.5 liter V8 as opposed to the 4.8 liter V8 of the '08+ cars, so slightly slower. Plus we're at elevation, and the G8 weighs 4100 lbs on the scales with me in it, whereas the Cayenne weighs 5800 lbs(!) on the scales with me in it. A lot of mass to overcome.

Not that I have tested it, but I suspect the Cayenne is quicker from a roll than the G8 though. In my hooligan moments I have surprised many the Corvette, Charger, SRT8, etc. owners out there.

Bump, had two serious buyers, but one had to back out and another (from Craigslist, not here) went dark after trying to lowball. Car is still on the market!

Why oh why would you want an auto as opposed to a "row your own" gearbox? I'm always looking for the manuals! It's a lot easier to learn how to drive an auto after you know how to row, than the other way around.
