I had the strut bearing replaced under warranty, so I asked them to put in the springs while at it.

I like the little rake it has now, so I've left it like this for the last 2yrs.

Im thinking about powder coating my stock 18's (gt's). Does anyone have any pic's of that? I'm at stock height right now, so i think I'll have to lower..

True. I use this line all the time. It's the width that makes it appear short.

I think they usually run in the 40-44 offset, 40 and a 265/275 tire is going to need a fender roll. I know tirerack carries the oz's and modbargains carries the forgestar which can have custom offsets.

How wide do you need/want? I know plenty of people sticking a 265 on an 8in wide rim, I have a set of dr37's I might use for drag radials.

Well I like the wide stance with a 9 inch wide wheel like the camaros I got. I have 20x9 all around with 275 tire. 8 would be the same size width as stock wheels right? And do u have a link on someone putting 18 oz wheels over brembos?

Here's a few pics w/ my winter setup. 18" TSW Nogaros - first of all I prefer the look of these to my stock sport 19"s (I like the lip and open area between spokes so you can see the brakes), secondly they're considerably lighter, probably nearly 10lbs per wheel, lastly they ride better.

I can corner better and have better traction w/ the 19"s, but then again alot of that has to do w/ the rubber mated to it, I'm sure if I had summer-only high performance on 18"s it'd be pretty good too.

I think light weight 19"s are probably the best compromise between comofort/looks/performance, but I'm not going to sit here and tell you 19"s or 20"s ride any where close to as nice comfort-wise as an 18" rim would (they won't).

I think 18" is really perfect for DD duties

Yes, stock is 8in width...depends what youre looking for. If its just to drag race you can put a 265 and some people even go 285 on an 8in rim...definitely not 'ideal' but it works for drag racing. If youre looking for just dd'ing, I run 265's and I think its plenty of tire which will fit on an 8.5 rim, again not 'ideal' but itll work.

I dont have a link but I met one of the members of capital city g8 club that had them on his gxp.

I also started poking around on the camaro5 forum, they have whiteside custom wheels (I think theyre apex wheels) in 18s that fit...only issue is the offsets are way too low for us, but as long as the spokes stay the same I know apex makes some other widths and offsets that might work.

Would a 18x8.5 +13 offset and a 18x9.5 +15 offset look good. I'm confused when it comes to offsets?!

Too little offset. Depending on the look you're going for at least. Keep in mind stock wheels are 8" wide and have a +48et offset.
