Camshaft & flywheel replaced under warranty, a/c hose repaired earlier this year for about $500. Rotors turned, cabin air filter replaced, several sets of tires, lots of oil changes. That's it.

no offense, but if you went into a car buying situation knowing you were going to put miles on like that why would you buy a G8?

I mean sure it's a fairly solid ride, but parts availability, gas mileage, damn you must have spent SO much on gas - if you were averaging 18.5 that's 10,810 gallons - @ $3.50 that's $37,838

Sorry to be a debby downer....

I hope I don't have to get my camshaft and flywheel replaced...I plan on running the car to 120-140,000, but over the course of 6 years - the mileage you've been doing is straight up abuse hahahaha

At least its testament to the car being a solid ride like I said.

'08 GT sport/premium, tints 20/35, 18" TSW nogaros w/ bridgestone blizzak winter, 19" sport oem w/ hankook evo summer, Philips crystalvision bulbs, debadged, Vararam OTR, JBA 1-3/4" LT's, ported TB, MF axlebacks, MF X-pipe, DBA-powerslot brakes, russel SS lines, hawk ceramic pads, GXP shocks/struts, lovells poly strut mounts, Slowhawk Tuned 344/356

Gone -'04 GTO A4 2.5" custom exhaust, sweet thunder muffs, H pipe, Z06 heads, Baer brake it, 20% tints, torrid red, AEM brute force intake, tuned

As was said earlier, cars are meant to be on the road. My company pays for gas, oil changes, tires, etc. If you're going to be in the car as much as I am, why would I want to drive a Hyundai? I plan to drive this until the wheels literally fall off. I hope I can get 350k or so out of it. it still runs really well and the interior doesn't show much wear. The only way to get your money's worth out of a car is to drive it! This is no weekend warrior!

+1000.
I only have a 80 mile round trip commute and sometimes I think about a high mpg vehicle or a van pool, then I come to realize how much it would suck for the 2 hours a day I spend commuting. Maybe if gas goes to 5 or 6 dollars a gallon I'll reconsider, but for now I look forward everyday to my 2 hours behind the wheel of my G8.

Some car companies as a form of PR they might give you some in exchange (in this case) of your record braking G8 / Holden. If you can get over 500,000 without an overhaul you might be up for treat. In the way you are driving that could be very obtainable in few years. I think Saab and Volvo gave a new car to the guy that went over a Million miles.

Is kind of the opposite, some people shoot for a very low mileage in your case the Golden BB is the high mileage.
