Bought my first 2008 MGM GT in May 2008 off the lot at 21 years old. First brand new car I ever purchased. After a year hiatus from the car and 5 years later, I have my second 2009 PBM GT with a few more goodies.

Have had no major issues and get great gas mileage for what this car is - usually 20mpg plus just 'bopping around' and as much as 28mpg plus on trips using cruise as much as possible, and all on 87 octane gas.

Do I ever step on it? Oh yes! Who can resist the exhilarating acceleration (from time to time) - and in sport mode - wow
Makes me feel good to read a post like this. My dad is 82 and drives a Lincoln MKZ. He really likes my car. The first time he saw those quad pipes sticking out the back, he was smitten. Then I took him for a ride. He said he didn't know if he should cr**p or c**m... Cracked me up. Man, I hope I'm still having as much fun as you guys when I reach the golden years. Keep it up, guys like you and my Dad are an inspiration.

2009 PBM G8 GT. Premium package.

You folks under 20 with a G8 are VERY fortunate and blessed to own such a nice car at a young age. Wow.

I'm really surprised too. bought mine in april, considering selling now... cost me 10k per year to own + gas= bad investment. i don't get any help from my fiance, nor parents. its all on me, not to mention cost of living in the california bay area.

I really love this car. i hate thinking of giving her up but its so expensive and i have a really bad driving record for my age. 5 speeding tickets, cell ticket, no ins ticket, 2 totals, driving on suspended... no reg... i could probably name more. only one in this car is a speeding ticket, 60 in a 45... at 22 this really destroys your insurance rate.... i was looking 800 a month at progressive, got the cheapest possible through cost u less and still 475 a month... so i think i'll keep her til this may, if i get a big raise i'll keep her. if not i'll post up here first...

-hood vent mod
-camaro trans pan n filter
-removed engine cover
-drilled front rotorpro rotors
-tinted tails and front yak emblem
-Spare set of 19" GT rims
-custom interior trim
-rare roof rack
-smoked side markers

-New steering wheel to install
-New all black cupholders and shifter shaft to install
-Android[/COLOR] installed]
- Mobil 1 synthetic

I love my MGM G8 GT

Bought my g8 in sept. of 08. I was 31 then and I just turned 36. The g8 is the first car that I plan to keep. I usually sell or trade the car by now and after almost 5 years of ownership I still get compliments on the car, so g8 not going anywhere. 2014 I plan to either purchase a newer c63 amg used or check out the new chevy ss once its out.

G8 gt sold june 2013
cts-v bought june 2013, lowered on eibach springs, 20 inch savaini wheels, air raid intake, plastic dip front grill. more to come.

Man, talk about either unfortunate luck or you pissed off the wrong person. I have been lucky enough to be ticket free since my driving days began. **Knock on wood.

Re: Youngest- Oldest GT Owners

I was surprised on the insurance cost with my GT. The 4 door part is the thing that helps. I pay less than a friend with a older coupe that is worth way less. Funny part is its with the same insurance company and we both have spotless records.

Performance: Some, but not enough..
Appearance: Too much to list..

I'm 28 and I can't remember what state farm quoted me, but it was ridiculously high. I insured under my father's name (who's 57) and I pay $87 for full coverage monthly.
