GXP Tune poll

Thought it would be interesting to see what tune everyone is running on the GXP these days, especially since I am finally about to pull the trigger myself! Hopefully the aggregate info will be useful to all. Please answer ONLY if you have a GXP (other forums will see this under "Active Topics"):

1. Which tune are you running?

2. Was it custom (done on the shop's dyno) or mail order?

3. Mods, if not listed in your sig.

4. Do you like it, any issues, other comments?

5. Have you tried any other tunes? Which ones?

Pat G email tune. It's very good.
I've tried Diablo sport Intune. The TCM tune with Diablo sport is lousy in comparison to Pat G

My own custom tune. I love it. GM leaves a lot to be desired in terms of performance. I use HP tuners to scan, log , and tune. I highly recommend it. I do not recommend mail order tunes. They just leave a lot on the table, and are never quite right. It is like wearing a suit, in comparison to a tailored suit.

Interested in the results. Planning on a custom tune at this point. Had planned to keep the GXP stock except for the tune and a drop in K&N, but I think I'm going to have to get a Solo cat back for it too. I just can't get used to the lack of sound after driving the GT all week.

1. Pat G tune
2. Custom (non-dyno)
3. Mods in sig
4. Great tune, Pat G is one of the best LS tuners in the business
5. had a cortex tune on my GT before I got LTs (was fun to play with all the settings) Car ran great with it as well. After LTs and Cam, got a Dyno Tune from a local shop Nelson Performance. Not too good, lots of issues and never really got the most out of the cam. Daniel Linnett (board member) had to step in and help fix the tranny shift points. Ran smooth after that but still never reached its full potential. Sold it and got the GXP. Pat G tune= no complaints :-)

- Mail Order

- Very happy with the tune!
- Only tune I have used on the G8, although there are several great options. I like the flexibility of having unlimited re-tunes for future mods.

HPTuners custom tune, tweaked by Shane. CAI, HSRK, CC, LT headers, stock mufflers. I like having the ability to go in there and change just about any parameter. Haven't tried anything else, but if I ever do, it'll be a Pat G tune. Congrats on the decision to step it up a notch, vinci!

One thing to keep in mind too is that Livernois had a GXP for a shop car so you know their GXP tunes will be more experienced, so to speak.

2009 GXP, Manual with Sunroof
Borla cat-back, H&R springs, & Sprintbooster & I love it! Summer rims = 19 x 9 CTS-V PVD Permachromed

Livernois tune based on mods

Mail Order

RotoFab CAI, Solo HFC, Borla Catback

Very pleased with the result. Livernois made two N/C changes as I added mods and had them eliminate the DFCO.

Did not try any other tune.

If it doesn't have 3 pedals it's just transportation.

Rotofab CAI, Solo HFC, Borla Catback, Livernois ECM tune, Holley Coil Covers, Heater Hose Relocation with custom bracket.
