Anyhow, and let me preface this by saying I PREFER A MANUAL and I RODE SPORT BIKES (anyone who rides loves manual shifting by default) - Autos or the derivative of are taking over. They ARE FASTER - stop trying to argue it, you're wrong. It IS A FACT. Whether we're talking conventional torque converter, single, or dual clutch automated manuals, SMG, DSG, DPK whatever you wanna call it, not only are they faster but now even the die-hard enthusiasts are saying they prefer them in the pinnacle of ALL DRIVER'S CARS - the lambos, the porsches, the ferraris, godzilla, bugatti, CTS-V etc. ALL OF THEM have AUTOS and they're ALL FASTER WITH THEM. try and argue that...I mean you can't. You sound ridiculous trying to. There is no argument. It is fact. I just posted another thread about how the brand new M5 was a HALF SECOND quicker to 60 w/ the SMG and the same through the 1/4 - nothing else is different in the car but the tranny - that's ridiculously faster.
