Colorado G8’ers

Hey fellow Colorado G8 owners, we really need to get us together one of these days/nights. I’ve met a couple of you and I don’t think I’m alone in thinking it would be cool to get the small group of G8 owners together either during one of the other car meets or separately for a meet & greet & cruise.
I’m probably the least experience track guy here (zero experience to be honest) but I grew up “cruising” with friends and hanging in lots chatting and checking cars out. I’m not really interested in the track but cruising and hanging with fellow car-folks is more what I’m thinking.

So, who’s up for something like this? Denver is probably the best central location and time wise, I’m suggesting Saturday or Sunday late afternoon (but certainly open to discussion). I’m probably one of the older guys here (40 years young) and I have a wife and kids so a few days or a week notice is a must for me (even though I’m old, I’m pretty f-ing cool if I do say so myself ;-)

Anyone else interested and if so, lets start planning!!!!!

Cheers,

Matt

I saw a nice black GT today in Denver near Colo. Blvd. and Evans. Hopefully he checks this site.

Last Saturday, I went to the Cars and Coffee at the Great Indoors store at Park Meadows. Lots of really cool cars. I may try to make this a semi-regular event.

I'd also be up for a G8 get together if I'm available.

Nice we are gathering a few of us together....
I saw an orange G8 GT at the Westminster Target right off 36 a few nights ago- it had aftermarket black wheels and looked sharp. I parked next to him while my wife went shopping and when the owner came out I said "nice car, man" and he said the same. I've seen a base model G8 in dark grey color driving around Boulder a few times, a college girl I think.

Ok, we have a nice group here. Shall we start planning to meet? To give everyone a couple weeks notice, I will propose:

Saturday May 19th at 6pm

As for location, we’ve got folks from all over and even up in Laramie (Tweaky) so I’m thinking the Westminster TARGET parking lot just west of the 104th/Church Hill exit of HWY36 / Boulder Turnpike (located between Boulder and Denver).

I’m open to other suggestions, as well..... who’s in?

Darn I'm gone that weekend can we try a weekend before or after that date. As for location that sounds like a good place to meet.

Ok, I know..... how about every Saturday around 6PM in the Westminster Target parking lot - off Hwy 36. If you are in the area, swing by. If you can't make it, swing by the next Saturday. Maybe 3 G8's show up.... maybe none..... maybe 12. Whatever, it's a big lot and I saw an orange G8 GT there a couple weeks ago so who knows. Maybe this will turn out to be a standing Saturday G8 GT and whoever else shows up with a cool car.
I'll try to swing by tomorrow even, but i've got two kids a wife and two jobs so life gets in the way ----- but I'll try to make it every Saturday I can, just for sxxts and giggles and revving my Solo Axle backs for fun!!!!!

sorry, my last reply was assuming the 5/26 date. How many people are gonna be there tomorrow? I could do tomorrow but only gonna make the drive if others will be there.

I think I'll have to pass tonight. My 87 Turbo Regal has fuel lines in a box waiting to be installed. I'm almost definitely gonna be there 5/19 or 5/26, though.

I didn't make it on Saturday and I assume noone did, but that was pretty short on notice.
I'll try to make it this coming Saturday, let's get a list of folks who think they can. The more that are on the list, the more likely others (including myself) will make it......
