oil filter

what is the difference between the ac delco pf47 and the pf48 filter?

2008 White Hot G8 GT
Firehawk Wheels, Pedders Supercar Coilovers, Sub Frame and rear cradle bushings, Neondials clear side marker, 28% tint all around, Billit catch can, Vararam Intake. Kooks 1 7/8" Headers Catted X pipe Maxflow Mufflers SS Clone 3.5" tips.

According to Amazon the PF47 will not fit the G8 GT.

well the AC Delco website lists PF48 as the filter for a G8 GT, so I'd go with that.

Thread pitch is less coarse, and it won't spin on.

The PF47's opening is smaller than the PF48's.

I am going to use the 48, I was just wondering and didn't think to do a google search. Thanks. The ls1 use the 47 that is why I was asking. Thanks again.

Are you sure ?

I thought it was an AC Delco PF-44 & oversized PF-59 ?

Because the '99-'05 Grand AM's V6 use the PF-47 & oversized PF-52.
