It's not even a driver's race, Phil...With similiar mods as yours, I laid a beat down on stock SRT8s at the track...by 2 tenths or more. Now modded may be a different story - never done that. Nice kill.

I test drove a superbee challenger and it seemed like it would hold its own a lot better than that.

When it comes to freeway racing. Alot of times the drivers stones are more important than horsepower. You never really know for sure what the other guy is thinking. I got alot of these types of stories, especially with my modded Solstice on twistys. But this was the first with this car. Now its time to go hunt for some punk driving Daddys Beemer.

I didn't catch the stock.

The was the first pass I ever made in the car while stock. Now it doesn't matter what I do I can't get traction. Not enough tire and I am unwilling to buy at the rate I get to the track. LOL

These are perfect.
Deep rumble at idle and cruise, WOT is just as loud as Solo but more aggressive IMO.
And ABSOLUTELY NO DRONE.
No AFM, no low rpms, no Highway. Any rpm, any speed is drone free.

What kind of mods do you have? Any track times or dyno numbers?

Owning both, I know stock for stock the Bee probably would've had the edge but it still would have been close I think. Can't say for sure because neither are stock now....

I am the second owner of the vehicle. It may or may not have a tune, but the rest looks stock. Does not possess your kind of numbers. I have driven some fast cars in my day. All I can say is that I love this car. It has it all. Power, handling, luxury and good brakes. Now I need a new set of tires. Anyhow regarding said race, as I posted earlier. You really don't know how much effort the other guy was giving. I don't carry a camera, so I have no proof. But, we entered the freeway about the same time, I got to the middle lane, he went to the passing lane, pulled up along side. We gave each other "the look", I looked ahead, saw no traffic and stuck it to the floor. He stuck with me to about 100 than I started to walk him a little at a time till I got to 125 and started to reel in some traffic. Whether he lifted ??? I don't know. Bottom line. He who has the bigger stones wins. Rightous kill ??? Those only happen at the track !

I would think it would be close race in the g8s favor. I didnt think you would beat him that bad. It almost looked that he started in the wrong gear.

Good kill!

Had about the same outcome with less cars on a Srt8 300C, probably about 1/2 car to 1 car by 120ish or so. srt8 had intake / exhaust, vs my stocker

My buddy has a 2012 SRT8 Charger. No way a G8 GT is keeping up with those even with bolt-on mods. That thing is not only ridiculously fast, the interior and technology is amazing. The entire SRT8 lineup for 2012+ is incredibly impressive. Cherokee, Challenger, Charger, 300 etc. I'd like to hear some race stories though!

ive busted a new 392 challenger and charger. But they are no joke. 12.5's @ 112ish stock. You had better have a beast of a top end like mine if you want to pull on one of those.

The 392 Challenger i raced was from a 50-140+ highway hit. by 140 I had close to a bus length on him... it sounded mean as hell though

I don't think the one I ran was a 2012...My car can go around corners, not just in a straight line. Take a G8 over that Mopar junk anytime !

LOL you're really underestimating the new SRT8 lineup. They can handle AND have gobs of HP and torque. Seriously, they should be respected, though like you, I do prefer our G8's I went to the SRT8 Track Experience with my buddy since they get an invite and guest when a new SRT8 is purchased. After spending all day in any number of new SRT8's I walked away thoroughly impressed.

2013 Dodge Charger SRT8: Impressive by any standard.
"Lurking in the engine bay is a 392 cubic-inch V8 that produces 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. That's enough power to scoot the big sedan from zero-to-60 mph in the mid four-second range. The quarter-mile flashes by in under 13 seconds, and top speed is a claimed 175 mph."

Only in straight lines... LOL.

You should look up the Yeti vs Deuuce debate and comparison vids between the two. I think it will put a new perspective on things.
