It has begun...

I have started pulling the car apart and putting on the right accessories for my LSA install. I have the new valley cover on and the water pump will go on next followed by replacing the fuel line to route it over to the passenger side fuel rail inlet. Wont get a chance to work on her again until later in the week but I'm pretty excited. Pretty straight forward install. The real fun is going to come with wiring the HX pump and routing the hoses all of which is uncharted territory for me. Hell this whole build is uncharted territory for me. So thankful for all the information and support from the forum on this.

So I have been chipping away at this thing. Basically only get to work on it for a few hours one day a week, so yeah, it has been slow going. I will get the injectors, fuel rail, and coil packs installed this afternoon since that should go quick. The wiring will get done on Christmas Eve and maybe some HX line routing. My soft target date for completion is new years day. Fingers crossed it all works out.

If you've got the pump to handle it, grab some ID850's and order up the miscellaneous parts from Greg at Pace and set her up to run e85.
Then you'll really love it

Awesome! I've been slowly gathering parts for this but lately have been tossing around going turbo instead. Still not sure what I'm gonna do.

I feel you man. I originally bought the blower TWO years ago a couple weeks after my son was born. I literally sat on it for a year before even buying another supporting mod. Then I picked up a ZL1 pump at an unbeatable price. Then I found some injectors for an impossibly low price... Then almost a year later I bought the Lid and ruel rail and pulleys. 4 months ago I bought the heat exchanger. Last two months I bought all the accessories like hoses and little things. I'm anxious as hell to get this thing done since I have been moving so slow on this, but considering I have about 4k invested and I will have a low maintenance setup that still has room to grow if I so choose makes me happy.

Yeah you could go turbo setup and get a car that runs 9s or 10s. You can do the same thing with an LSA. Going fast is a matter of throwing money at a build. For the cost and ease of install considering I am doing this in my driveway with the most basic of tools I am very content.

9s are easy with the LSA. Shoot, if my car was an auto, I'd be in the 9s already. But I enjoy being a slow manual. lol

Looking great man!! Good luck, and TAKE YOUR TIME! Don't take shortcuts! Tuning is key!

I disagree. If 9's were easy everyone would be there, including me. Just because you have all the hard parts to make the power, you then need a tuner who can get the most out of it without it blowing up. Then you need driveline parts to hold the power. And tires to stick the power. And a track with good prep so the tires can stick. And good air for max performance. And seat time to perfect the launch. And....
Best of luck to all in 2017.

Let me rephrase that, "to some, going fast can be easy". When you got the know how, that is.

It is hard to not try to rush through things, but when you barely have any time at all it is hard to take any shortcuts. It is taking me weeks to get this done lol. Plus the further in I get the more I find other things. Like I definitely need to change out the heater hoses so that is on the to do list. I also need to rebuild my fuel line because I think I need it needs to be just a hair longer to have some slack. Oh well. It has been a fun process and hopefully I will be able to help others with.

Pat G recommended I go with 60lb injectors because they are supported by our ecms or something to that effect. They are exceptionally easy to tune for apparently. Maybe it is because you don't need data. I can't remember. I was then able to purchase some that were barely used from a UPP turbo kit for the G8 for ultra cheap.

I have an afco intercooler for an 03/04 cobra that I bought on ebay for a couple hundred dollars. It just barely fits in the lower grill but it looks awesome down there. I wanna say MGMGXP mentioned it in a post somewhere and I just ran with it.

looks like a strong possibility that I will be able to fire the car up tomorrow. Just have to do a little soldering and routing of the intercooler lines. Fingers crossed.
