Garage
Well, I should be there. 580+ to the wheels.
Too bad we will have snow on the ground once I get the car.

what do you need to get 700hp?

$$$$$$$$$$

Honestly you can build this car to be a 1700hp car if you have the dollars...A lot of guys have got 700hp, its just how youd go about doing it. My approach to this would be displacement:

1) 440 - 454 CI iron block (with a good set of heads that can flow well and a decent cam for boost)
2) Procharger or supercharger or tt or single Turbo
3) built trans to put all that power down
4) good exhaust work
5) good ignition system

its all possible with the $$$$$

2009 MGM G8 GT - Eibach pro kit (w/ allignment correction kit)/BMR sway bars/trans cooler/Stoptech cryogen rotors/ Hawk break pads/2800 Circle D Stall

Dyno#s on DYNOJET w/ 91 octane:
OLD SETUP with ARH LTs/xpipe/Axelbacks/intake/tune/LSXR fast 102 im- 362whp/378wtq (50583km on odo)
NEW SETUP forged 402 cubic inch LS2 - 464whp & 442wtq w/ 10.56 to 1 compression ratio -built and tuned by Championmotors

You don't even need an aftermarket block.

Just a power adder with a fair amount of boost, and some good supporting mods...

Agreed the stock block i heard is good for about 800hp, trans should hold good for about the same.

Block is good for 800 but not the trans, all reports I've read say that our stock trans starts slipping and getting squirrelly above 600hp and will be breaking at some point.
