After cam, how to get to the dyno?

So I'm going to be doing a cam swap over winter. Now In spring when i pull her out what's my best way to get to the dyno for a tune that is an hour away.

I know I'll have to plug in my old dod valley tray so it's not running on 4. and
I was planning on selling the cortex when I put the car away so I wouldn't have that to tell the computer not to try to engage dod.

Will it try to engage dod even tho the stuff wont be there?

can I drive it to the dyno?

do I need persuade my friend to tow it there?

should I keep the cortex to turn off dod on computer side of things?

When I had mine done I was able to drive the car to the dyno but I did have DOD shut off. The car was not happy at all though. Everytime I came to a stop it would shut off the Traction Control and the dash would chime. If your drive is mainly interstate it probably wont be too bad but I have no idea what will happen if you still have DOD turned on in the tune.

see if you can borrow his hp tuners and do a base tune on it so you can drive it. I think that would be the best option. Example if his shop is closed on sunday, go late saturday, tune it sunday, and go back to him early monday?

Don't complain about life, if you do, try death, nobody has complained yet.

Turn off DoD. Then just drive easy to tuner. I did mine this past winter and had VMS turn off DoD then drove 1 1/2 hours to a tuner up north. As long as you don't beat on it you should be fine. Depending on how aggressive your cam is or if your adding a stall it could be a bit more of a hassle. Obviously drivability won't be there but your driving it easy because you also don't know what your afr is as well.

Thanks guy!
I completely forgot dod doesn't try to activate in manual mode. lol. It's just going to be a livernois stage 1 with a little head work and no stall at this time.
