i got bored.......

Very nice take on the otherwise boring stock engine cover. Are you a paint guy? Sure looks like it!

I opted for the gto-style covers, but only personal preference.

Kinda similar to what I had done. My painter used 4-5 coats of clear over the factory Silver, it is pretty smooth now.

I kept the textured look.

As for materials i used ppg dbc base coat mixed 1:1 with dt 885 reducer. Clear was ppg dcu 2002 mixed 4:1:1,, 4 parts 2002 1 part dcx 61 harder 1 part dt 885 reducer. Taped off the black and v8 scuffed it with a grey scuff pad then cleaned it using dcx 330 retaped based and cleared
