Where were these taken?
I can't tell from these shots - was there a window sticker on this car?
I see the Michigan MFR plate...
Thanks,
- Ray
Just curious...
BBBBGXP 02-24-2008, 10:53 PM Great pics! These come from a dealer "ride and drive"? Where were you? Thanks again!
ZULater02 02-25-2008, 12:39 AM There was no window sticker but the gentleman that worked for Pontiac told me that this GT model with the seats/radio, etc. stickered at $31,500 and that the Base model would be $27k.
These were taken in Memphis, TENN. ESPN College Gameday was there and Pontiac is a sponsor so they had this car and some others out.
BBBBGXP 02-25-2008, 12:47 AM Did you get a chance to climb around inside and really check it out? What were your impressions? What about the general "public's" opinions? Ya post great pics, ya gotta have a story to go with it!:boink:
ZULater02 02-25-2008, 01:49 AM Everyone seemed to like it. A few people referred to it as a caddy or a saab and were impressed with the style and interior. Others walked by and said something about the motor . The inside was very comfortable and everything was in well reach. The seats had pretty good movement and bolstering. The seats are also heated which is a plus in the winter months. The radio was good and the gauges and dash layout was very nice as well, with a little monitoring station above the radio and good dash readouts. The rear seats had great room and size as well. Definitely will make a good family car, not just a 4 seater, unlike the GTO IMO since I have kids.
They seemed to make the ergonomics of the car better while retaining a muscle car feels still, but with some luxury and all w/o breaking the bank.
Here are some more interior shots for you guys.

Dang it, I knew I should have tried to get tickets for that game. Could have seen my car in person. :)
Nice pics.
yevot 02-25-2008, 08:10 PM Does anybody think the engine compartment and hood look ridiculously long? :eek2:
Man, I'm really starting to reconsider red, especially considering the ability for a matching interior.
Ramsesiii 02-25-2008, 09:10 PM This is by far the hottest Pontiac ride I have EVER seen. ^_^ I know I've said it before, but well done Holden. And Cheers to the Pontiac folks who made the effective modifications.
I don't care what anyone says, I love the whole look. Its a great moulding of Aussie and American design!!

Photos seem to stretch the hood - maybe because the whole car is deceptively big you have to use certain angles to capture the whole car. In real life the proportions are very - ummm - BMW-like.

Alright, good. The low-angle photos make the hood look 15 inches long and the high-angle makes it look.. 15ft long. :slap:

Funny you should say that! Its exactly the same thing the dealers rep I'm working with had to say! Think maybe that's intentional????!!!:us_flag: Oh, and thanks!:aus_flag:

This thought has never ever crossed my mind when viewing a Commodore from any angle. Maybe it's the Pontiacificaion of the VE you're seeing, but I strongly doubt it.
BBBBGXP 02-26-2008, 01:00 AM Didn't the new Edmunds article mention how long the hood on the Charger was and how much shorter the G8's was? Must be the camera angle?
baabootoo 02-26-2008, 01:24 PM The "fish eye" effect.
sccaGTO 02-26-2008, 08:23 PM Pontiac, hurry up with my ST! Otherwise, I guess I'll need to pick the color for my GXP.
I want one without Kenny M across the front!
