well after a recent, very ugly divorce (no kids or any of that just alot of hate on both parties), i actually have a date for valentines day for the first time in my 27yrs of existance. Now, i have no clue where to take her. i have lived out of state for quite a while and lost all track of the ritzy resturants in san anotonio. I would like too keep it under $300 for the evening. any ideas where to try and get a reservation? thanks.

Two great classy places in La Villita, a steak house and a just plain fancy...

la villita is a good spot have a nice dinner there and take a walk down down the river walk maybe even get a boat ride while u r down there or even after the dinner take a ride on the horse carrige and ride around downtown just a thoughts.

id say a good time at wild zebra them maybe a bowl of chili at jims on perrin bietel, and then go to the 25 buck a night hotel thats right off oconnor and 35 !



but in all seriousness.. take her to the tower downtown, and again if she isnt all uptight, go to the riverwalk to the comedy club !
and if its a guy you got a date with... theres a club called the saint :barf:

If you really want a great place try The Lodge (http://www.thelodgerestaurant.com/). It is in Castle Hills and the food is fantastic. I took my wife there last year for our 15th anniversary. It costs around $110 per person for the chef's tasting and is well worth it.

thanks for all the replies. she actually works down on the riverwalk so im pretty sure she doesnt want to go down there since she is there all the time. the lodge resturant looks like my best bet..... any other ideas?
