...I'll keep it.
Absolutely incredible handling, very precise and stable. First road trip was through some small mountains. Steady as a rock through the tight curves, not even a hint of tire squeal where I would have expected a little. Very enjoyable. Made for a fun afternoon.
I do enjoy the manual mode and how it works. Eager to try it out on some steeper mountain roads.
Second road trip was nine hours across Texas, stopping only for gas and a meal. Smooth as silk when running in the triple digits. After about seven hours, began adjusting the seat as I was my back was just beginning to get a little tired. Not bad. Got out of the car at the trip's end and felt pretty good.
I was surprised with how much was left at the top end. I know it is not the V8, but doing 85 (love those high speed limits in West Texas) and pulling out to pass there was decent acceleration. Enough to get by. I just did not want to pay $4k more for the V8.
This car would make an incredible rat racer.
The Blaupunkt FM tuner has outstanding sensitivity. Would like a tad stronger bass in the extreme low end, though.
Decent ride (always that tradeoff between handling and ride), superb handling. Fun car to drive, yet comfortable enough for long road trips.
Apparently the public likes the styling as well, the car did draw some attention and comments.
I loved my classic Aurora. Miss the Northstar 4.0L. But I must admit the G8 handles better. And actually has a little more legroom.
A keeper...
