what up yall, this is my first post and first official kill! I was going on my lunch break the other day and my homeboy who has a modded SS silverado kept raging on my car and wanted to run me. I didnt want to run cuz i knew he had some heat and if i lost all my co-workers would b talkin sh^t. I said f it and we ran down this long empty road out in santa clarita. He spun like a bitch and i forgot to turn off my TC so stability control c kind of lagged me but we were heads up for a bit but i pulled him by a car or two till we shut down @ 110. he was impressed :). he has a superchip tune, spectre intake, flowmaster exhaust, and a 100 shot of nos.(he didnt spray) im stock.

There is a guy around here with a supercharged Silverado SS- its currently laid up thanks to 9lbs of boost blowing the motor. I kind of know him so maybe when he gets it running again we'll see what happens.

They were cool trucks I had an '04. They don't come close to a G8's performance. Nothing to worry about. LOL.

Yeah the SS are bad trucks my brother has one and for a truck its pretty damm fast

My buddy back in Fort Myers had one, his was an AWD. I was always sorta disappointed at GM for not using the LS2 in them, the Vortec 6.0 is only like 350hp or something, ungodly torque on them though. Still a cool truck, and really just a beauty to look at.

He was always pissed that his truck didn't have the suede inserts like most other SS vehicles. That and that it wasn't really much more of a sport model than the Sierra Denali (those had the same AWD and engine setup). At least the trucks don't implode transmissions like the TBSS though...

with those mods, its probably a 15.0 truck. shouldn't be any problem for a G8.

I had a 03 SSS with cam, intake, UDP, duals and it ran 14.20.

Ah, the Silverado guys don't seem to fear it as badly. I dunno how but my buddy hasn't had any tranny issues with his. And he practically tries to kill it. He realllllly hates that his AWD doesn't let him do burnouts, no matter how much he tries. Except apparently in dirt, he said that did it. I coyuldn't tell you how many times i watched him hold the brake and rev the **** out of it for a launch to try to get some kinda spinning action.
