: Rear bumper reflectors, gotta go!!!
Orbit Orange 02-08-2007, 04:50 PM Would there be anyone else out there besides me who would want to cover or delete those bicycle reflector looking things above the exhaust tips? Who will be the first aftermarket supplier to offer inserts for these I wonder.
Any thoughts? :eek2:
The Stig 02-08-2007, 05:02 PM Personally I think they are pretty awesome looking.
pinski 02-08-2007, 05:05 PM Personally I think they are pretty awesome looking.
+1.
I think it would be quite simple to cover them up though. Illegal, I'd bet, but easy. The style of taillamp used on the G8 doesn't have any reflector built into it, which is why they have to integrate the reflectors into the bumper like that.
ToMiT@ 02-08-2007, 05:15 PM A razor blade and electrical tape....
But I kinda like 'em....
Personally I think they are pretty awesome looking.
+1..
I like 'em....
sccaGTO 02-08-2007, 06:05 PM They don't look all that bad. I might change my mind once I see them in person.
speeddemon 02-08-2007, 10:24 PM they look pretty nice to me :stickpoke:
appletonrc 02-08-2007, 11:00 PM When I looked at SS-V pics, I didn't hardly notice them. On the G8 picks they seem to stand out more. Lighting I guess.
They are a little weird down there, but I think I can get used to them.
monaro_gto 02-08-2007, 11:43 PM have to see them in person but right now I rather like them.
LS1=SEG 02-09-2007, 12:01 AM The people you really need to ask how they like them are the mustang owners. :gr_devil:
bradG8 02-09-2007, 10:43 AM 3M makes a black reflective material that a vinyl sign shop should have...might be an alternative to prying the red ones out.
Widget 02-09-2007, 12:43 PM First impression is that I like'em.
McPhee 02-12-2007, 02:56 PM I like em too. Very Euro...it's a touch that you just don't expect on a GM.
grandamgt2k 07-23-2011, 04:47 PM I would love to go with clear reflective for the rear but for now I compromised and did a light smoked tint on mine. Still look good and reflect at night. For safety's sake - it may be better to leave them - don't want to be rear ended by someone who didn't see you
BloKKem 07-23-2011, 07:16 PM HOLY 4 year old post bump lol.
Since it's back at the top now, might as well mention that I am about to start the process of putting a super light coat of VHT on mine right now.
matthewo 07-23-2011, 07:53 PM mine are tinted using night shades when i did the rest of the markers on my car. the sun makes them look more red sometimes, but it usually looks like the right side one pretty much a really dark red or black.

cvidt 07-23-2011, 08:42 PM I like the oem ones. I even wish they light up.
been thinking of putting led in for brake/turn.
thecowboy 07-24-2011, 06:44 AM I bought some overlays from GrafxWerks a month after I bought my car and they've held up great for over 2 years. I got the ones that are Reflective Black, black during the day and blends right in, but at night it will reflect white.
Sweet Lou 07-24-2011, 10:10 AM I took mine off & Plastidipped them. They use to bug the **** out of me. Although it's supposedly illegal, I love them blacked out! Haven't been pulled over yet & that was a year ago!
ramairetransam 07-25-2011, 06:55 AM i hate them , vht'd them on a few g8s
formula400ra 07-25-2011, 07:46 AM take a pill, man.
