Hey guys, I don't think anyone on here knows me but I'm a GTO owner (also a regular poster on ls1gto.com) and I've met a couple of the bay area G8GT owners at a hooters GTG in the late summer I think it was. I work at the Brenden Theatres in Concord and in early April Fast and Furious 4 comes out. I am toying around the idea of trying to set up a small car show in our flat-lot parking area (not in the parking garage).
I don't have a lot of ideas set up for it yet but I was wondering if any locals would want to bring their cars by and show em' off for a couple hours. I've got a couple people from the GTO forum lined up as well as a corvette or two and a 72 chevelle. Working on getting some Supras but that's not working out too well.
I've been given approval by my corporate office to do this and we've had car shows in the past for other movies as well. If I end up doing this (it's just a matter of having enough confirmed cars) I'd give everyone who participates a few free movie passes and some popcorn/soda so you can watch either Fast and Furious or another film with your friends/family. Possibly I could set up some kind of contest for "best of" and have some small prizes for that as well. If anyone is interested let me know so I can go to corporate with a plan. PM me or Post here, It would be the opening weekend of F&F which I think is April 3rd or 4th.
I'm looking for some respectable people with some clean cars, not a bunch of people doing donuts in the parking lot, burning out, racing on their way to/from the show, etc. If anyone is interested post here or leave me a PM, I'll be checking in from time to time.
