With your white car those colors on your covers look awesome. Good job!

What kind of paint did you use? How is holding up to the heat of the engine?
I would like to paint my covers. I have received several quotes, way too expensive. They all claim it is because of the heat of the engine.

I used White Krylon Fusion. I just took the covers off and washed with soap and hot water. Then just sprayed a few coats of white and then used the red. Its holding up good. Just gotta keep it clean.

I like it, think I will do that myself, just not sure what color would look best with my Panther Black.

Im sure you could paint the Manifold. If you wanted to you could even have it powdercoated. Auto parts stores sell high temp paint that might work for it.

That looks awesome, great work!

As for the heat dilemma some have stated...I used manifold paint that I bought at "CDN Tire", it obviously is designed/capable of withstanding high temperatures.
I guess in the States "Napa" would probably sell it.

Really though, as long as its on the plastic cover, I don't think the paint will be subjected to that much heat.

Why does my friggin engine cover look different than everyone else's?? It is just one big black plastic piece that covers the entire engine....anyone?

Now that my computer has returned to normal---I have been thinking about red and silver with black highlights on the intake manifold. Just an idea.

For the Panther Black Met....

I was just thinkin of getting some black metallic spraypaint and doing the body of the covers that color...then doing those 6 raised bumps red...then applying a high heat resistant clear coat to give it that glossy look....

Yeah that would be good, I already painted mine black with the fusion, I was trying to decide what color to paint the bumps, and I asked a few people and they thought they red would be to bold and stand out to much, but I still think I might like it.

Are those the OEM V-6 rims painted up. If so, they look awesome.

looks great but the white may fade darker so you may have to retouch it in a year or two. dont drink and mod though!
