The one I looked at was Phantom Black and I must say I like that color. It almost like a dark metallic charcoal color in medium light at least.

I have nothing to say bad about the exterior of the car, but the interior could be better layed out,etc

1) Didn't like the window switches being in the center console just forward of the cupholders.
2) I wish the speedometer/tach had white faced gauges instead.
3) Wish the plastic didn't look so cheap, but I used to GM products being like that. Hell my 75k Z06 I had wasn't all that great for the price


I did like how the emergency break is integrated in the center console. It is never in your way. Seats were OK, but the seats in the Dodge SRT products are still better when you want to go fast in some curves.

I will definetely consider one once a manual is offered..

I see you're in Raleigh too. Which dealer did you go to? Thompson had a Black V6 Sedan that I looked at on Saturday, but when I drvoe through on Sunday with the wife it was gone.

As for the seats, don't forget the GT/Sedan is aimed at the Charger, while the GXP, which should have higher bolstered seats, will directly compete with the SRT8 Mopars.

I went by hendricks in cary. They already sold two in the first week and they have a phantom black one sitting in the showroom right now... I noticed they have changed over the years in their markups on hot cars

I'm down in Fayetteville patiently awaiting one to arrive so I can test drive it. Bryan Pontiac is expecting a Black on Black any day now.

I like them there. I have really gotten used to them since I have the GTO.

You'll get used to the window switches being in the center. Everybody complains about stuff like this in a new car... But its really not worth putting on a list; you'll get used to it. Is it really that big of a deal? You'll look for the on the door for all of a week, then you'll be used to them being in the center.

As for the plastic looking cheap... I think you're studying it too hard... If you want to see "cheap looking" plastic, get into a G6. My G6 interior looks like a joke compared to the G8.

Not to mention that leather looks and feels like some premium stuff.
