My plan for GM is to bring back the GTO a year after the Camaro, on the same chassis. They have long said that the Firebird will not be brought back from the dead. But they have not said the same about the GTO. Considering the roots of the original GTO, it should by all intents be ahat the new G6 GXP could be if it had a V8 and rwd. The size of the new Camaro puts it just about right. And this time we'll see both hard and soft tops. sccaGTO 02-11-2007, 08:13 PM Well, Chevy is gonna switch to the Impala for NASCAR. That means that all manufacturers will be running "4-door" bodies on race day. If there are low sales for the Monte, then there is no need for a replacement. The Camaro & GTO will fill the void.
