I am a car sales men in the Hampton Roads area. My dealership has just recieved it's first G8 GT. It is the first 888 series . It is black with black leather interior. If any one is interested just contact me but remember we may not get another one for a long time and probably the only 888 we will see at all.

Somehow I get the impression that you're not going to sell it for MSRP. Maybe you could put a sign in the windows instructing people to "not touch, limited edition". Now, if I'm wrong and you will be selling it for MSRP, put me in my place plz.

We do have a mark up. It is not my choice to do so ,but if I had to make the choice I would definitely mark it up. If you are honest with yourself and put yourself on my side of the table you would too. Why would we sell it for MSRP so someone can just turn around and sell it for a profit. And your comment about putting a sign up sounds a little juvenile to me. What does that have to do with the mark up.

I bought my G8 for MSRP. And I even got the window's tinted for free and the 100k bumper to bumper (in addition to the powertrain) for 900 because they appreciated my past business and wanted to earn my future business. But with the price of the G8 being really affordable, I can certainly see where dealers will mark up the price (greed) because they feel that people are still getting a great deal. But what can you do? Somebody will come in and buy that car for what they want and leave with a smile. Pour schmuck. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.

As a matter of fact...GM customers should consider that an insult and attempted rape

I won't deal with anyone that marks them over the window sticker. Adjusted market value my big ole hairy....well you get the idea. What goes around comes around. I guess you should hope that the good times will carry you through the rest of the year, because people like me won't even consider your dealership and your markups.

Supply and Demand. That simple. Just as it is the dealers choice to set a price it is your choice to walk away. "It's not personal....it's business."

Actually, go talk to them. If you're a serious buyer, they'll sell it at a reasonable price. If they hold out for a big premium/profit, walk. I don't care what's added to the sticker. What I want is my cost.
