one laid down 300hp/323tq @ G-Force Motorsports. So proper OTR CAI/exhaust/tune will really do it wonders!

I'll try to post mine tonight from VMS. I haven't even looked at them yet. I'm embarrased to say that I missed the final run at 335 because I was trying to conserve battery and didn't get it turned on it time. I have the initial run at 304 and another run at 332 I think. Let me see how they turned out.

I never realized how difficult it would be to find a free MPEG2 editor. Everything I download either doesn't work or trashes the video or something. So, I had to start backwards. I'll get the baseline dyno up as soon as I can cut out the first 38 seconds of wasted space.

For now, here is the last dyno of the day which is post-VMS tune but with a mocked up "ghetto" intake that Chris threw together. The final tuned number was 335.1HP/348.0TQ. Check out what a simple intake can do to a healthy system - 342.9HP/354.3TQ

Listen to that baby growl.......

Incredible the hp and torque gains the G8 gets with a tune and filter.

Very very nice numbers, I'm happy to see there is lots of unlocked potential in the G8 powerplant!

That would be our G8! We put it on the dyno the night we got it.. We just ran the first tank of 93 in it to flush all the 87 out! We will be back on the dyno very soon.

Drob 8: So did you end up leaving on the Cold Air Induction Kit on your car's engine? I'd be interested to know what 1/4 mile times your car can now rip off!?

It was tempting, and had I had more time, I think Chris was really interested in finding a good solution to send me home with. But, I had to get to work, so we put the baffle back on.

I am now impatiently waiting for Chris to fab something up. I'm hoping he's found another G8 in the area to use to build the intake with.

Drob 8: Sounds good! I too am looking forward to Vector Motorsports possibly coming out with a kick @ss CAI kit.

Did they do any tuning to your TCM in your transmission?

Thanks for the info...... :cartman:

They did make some changes, but in all honesty, I told them not to do too much, only because I hadn't really driven the car enough to know what I didn't like.

I can say this...the 1/2 shift was almost unnoticable stock. Now, I can at least hear and feel it, although it is still VERY mild. The fact that they can change this in any mode is very attractive. I can keep it in D when I'm driving with customers and co-workers. Then drop it into S or M with friends or at the track.

I think my biggest complaint right now is that I can do 60MPH in 3rd and 60MPH in 6th. So, if I'm cruising and I jump on it, it takes a long time to cycle down and get going. I'll see what Chris can do when he comes to Chicago.

I also burned through my GTP trans at 74,500 miles and barely got it covered under my 75K warranty. I'm a little nervous to jack around with this car in fear of seeing the same results.
