I just read that since the ls2 is being dropped the Corvette will get the escalades 6.2 L92?

It is correct that the LS2 will be going away, but I am not sure of the exact time frame. The replacement will probably be a 6.2l LSx engine puting our around 425-435 hp. The block and heads will be the same as the L92, but expect a more aggressive cam, a different intake (perhaps the L76 intake) and probably strengthened innards.

BTW, the L92 heads beat just about everything out there in terms of performance per dollar. Their basic design draws heavily from the LS7 heads and the flow on the intake side is HUGE. Slide a real cam with lift in the.525 - .550 range and durations around 225 - 235 and 525hp numbers are easily within reach and 550hp isn't out of the question.

The really good news is these are the same heads on the L76 (I am 99% positive on this), so much of the same should hold true for the G8.

Think happy thoughts!

Greg

I thought the 'Vette will get the LS3?
