Interesting that they would have the same code for a truck engine and
a car and them not be the same. That said, the more I read about the L76,
the more impressed I get.
From what I read, the two have a different intake (which was the case with
the LS2 in a TBSS vs GTO) and (the biggie) the truck has VVT. I assume they
would have mentioned VVT if the G8 had it. Might be nice to have VVT (it
seemed to work good in other cars I've had), but it, along with DoD, might
make cam changes that much harder. It's a good thing that HPTuners is adding
features to turn off DoD. Both seem to have the L92 heads, which, I read, are
a good thing.
