Sorry about the quality, but it was a random chance meeting and all we had was a cell phone cam.

I didn't look at the speedo, but I'd guess we started at about 50-60 mph. I was expecting a loss due to having 4 people in the car, but I ended up pulling away from him.

Afterwards he gave a very enthusiastic thumbs up and then we pulled into a parking lot and chatted it up. Very nice kid. He told us his mods and gave props to my car. He said that he had always heard that the G8's were fast, lol.

Over all I was very happy! Good race, I won, and the other guy was real cool!

Video or ban lol. Good kill, there's just something about winning races with passengers in your car that are sitting comfortably while your walkin someone.

LOL, don't worry, the video will be posted. My brother was busy when we got home, but he should be able to either tomorrow or later tonight.

Nice kill man. The gt's in that gen of mustangs only put down around 210-220whp. So its not surprising that you put a whoopin on him even with extra weight. I still say that generation looks better than the current.

Yeah, they do look great, but aren't the fastest cars on the road. I should have an even better race with one coming up sometime against my 1994 Z28 with mild bolt-ons. The G8 pulls on the LT1 from a roll too, so it should be a good race against the Mustang.

Meh...

I only like the Cobras and Mach 1...the regular SN97 GT got old. I like the Mustang but they always seem to get old after awhile...I wonder why lol. They are fast cars(can be made fast) and IMO are the top of the mod car hill but thats because they are EVERY WHERE!

That and they seem to have long life cycles between "all-new" models. Just minor changes to the front and rear clips for an entire decade.:dunno:

Not that the Camaro and Trans Am were much better in that respect through the 80's and 90's.:(
