So I was hoping I'd run below a 13.3 today, but I couldn't seem to break out of the 13.4-13.5 area. At least I got about 20 runs in for $40 :)

Mods: Magnaflow Catback, SuperChips 91 Tune, NEP Intake

Slip:
60-2.132
330-5.182
1/8-8.786
MPH-82.81
1000-11.329
1/4-13.470
MPH-105.23

I have another slip somewhere that has a 13.417,but I can't seem to find it.

Either way, what am I doing wrong here, or is this to be expected? I know the track does have a reputation for having traction issues.

Think of it this way, for every car that is faster than average, there's a car that's slower than average. You might have technique/track issues, or you might just have an underachieving g8? You 60 foot isn't stellar either.

Thats not bad, It depends on the conditions.

Get your 60' in check and you'd have a 13.3 easy....

Agreed, get that 60' to a 2.0 and your between 13.2-13.3. You would probably benefit like others with a 93 tune as well.

60ft is the key, your mph is there it just not leaving. Are you spinning the tires out of the gate? What rpm are you leaving at? You were probably Heat Soaking pretty bad since you got 20 runs in. How much time between runs? You need at least 30 minutes. If your hot lapping the engine doesn't have enough time to cool down.

1.8 and 1.9 sixty foot times are more than possible with the Bridgestone RE050A. Not sure what tires you are running, but you should be able to get 2.0 down easily. That will have a nice impact on the big end.

I'm launching at about 1100-1500 RPMs.

You're right about heat soaking, my few best runs were after a 15-30 min cooldown. Most of my other runs were dead on with a 13.52x every time.

I'm running the Eagle? tires. Whatever came from the dealer on the 18's.

Also, like I said, this track is known to be incredibly slick. Maybe I should switch tracks and tires :)
