cool..good idea. Do you guys mostly go to Bremerton? I'd be interested to know when some of you are heading over to tag along and learn how to drive a 1/4. macpubah==drag noob.

FWIW I live up in Monroe area and you can rent the Monroe Speedway track up here...it's pricey for one person, but if there were a group it would be more reasonable.

yeah, we usually go to bremerton...sometimes PR. We will be out there his coming Saturday, and maybe friday. I'd come out Saturday if its a long drive for you.

I'm still learning too. that 14 i scored was my very first time drag racing. So, you'll be learning right next to me :D

Ya that might work actually. Can you bring kids or not? I'd like to bring my 9 year old daughter. I could get a baseline on stock..and then start the mods.

yep, kids are allowed. Ranay had her 1 year old there! Looking forward to meeting you then :D

YES!!! They are awesome. The doc kinda gave me a ****ty dosage (1 percocet every 6 hours) and that wasnt working for pain, so i was taking 2 every 4 hours. well, i ran out of them yesterday and had to go to the ER to get my prescription refilled :(

Anyways, i'll definitely be good to go!

Well, I'm going to give it another shot tomorrow. Let's hope the poltergeist left my car. That 2nd pass was a 2.01 60ft before the mysterious rev limiter kicked in.

That was a nice run, and it was great meeting you.

I really think you can get a G8 to run 12s with some drag radials and a tune.....maybe that will be my goal.

I wish i had my headers installed and a tune. But it will have to wait even longer. I keep spending more money on other things rather then things i need getting done. I plan on installing the headers myself but ill send my car out for the tune. Lol my car is going to be really slow.

Brandon should be posting on here very soon... :)

Don't have a scanner in my suitcase but going from memory my best today was 13.621 at 104.22 MPH. The car is running SUPER consistent. 13.7x with the engine cover on, 13.6x with the engine cover off. If I can keep my RT low and not completely spin it off the line (my first and last runs were AWFUL) I should have a good day tomorrow.

If anyone wants to run in the Car Club Challenge along with BOP I'm sure you could run with the Grand Prix that will be there (I am) the second Tech Inspection card for both events is $25. Instead of waiting 2 hours between heats, you wait one hour.

david...please post the 60' time for your best run :)

new best for me!

12.228 @ 112.23MPH 1.758

John...mike still has the second best washington time...even tho he's in iraq ;) he's also made it to the track more than most of the other PNW g8r's ;)

Seattle09GT

My 60' time best was 2.0XX or 2.10X if memory is serving me correctly.

OK, since I have nothing better to do, will scan the slip when I get home and put up here:

LEFT LANE
================

R/T: .389 <--- second worst R/T for the day for me - ARGH!
60': 2.087

1/8: 8.872
MPH: 81.65
1000: 11.461
1/4: 13.631
MPH: 103.97

My fastest speed yesterday was 104.22 MPH with a 13.688 1/4 mile run. My 60' on that run was 2.135 seconds. Running with a Superchips Cortex 91 Octane tune, all settings default Superchips, AFM off. So pretty darn close to bone stock.

Yeah, they were good times - but I was trying to stay in at least the first round for consistency. Depending on if I work friday afternoon or not, I might sneak in one more test and tune...

I would've been there but Money was a little low after helping my 17 yr son pay( $250 ) for his Cross Country and Wrestling stuff. Thats the life of a father either go racing which I really wanted to do or help out the son. Son won this round. Sorry hope to make next time.

Damn - now I feel - slow - I'm not in the club of "12's." Given that Superchips is doing custom tunes for the Volant, and I got 6/10 of a second from stock 87 octane to the 91 octane tune, and another 3/10 to 4/10 of a second from the 93 octane tune, I'm hoping that the Volant and specific tune will get me to 12.99.
