Alligator Alley will be re opened???

Alley is closed due to brush fires... Supposed to be reopened on Sunday. Currently they have trafffic redirected at 27, up to 80 and then across.

How far south do you have to drive to get on US 41 E? If it's not far, it won't take more than 15-30 min. longer, mostly because of extra traffic. At least part has 60 mph speed limit & it diagonal's north-west. Pretty drive.....

If you come that way, turn north on 29 at Everglades City, if possible. If you have to continue on 41, turn north on Collier BLVD (Collier Blvd is main road south to Marco IS)
It's about 5-6 mi north to I-75, and you get on just west of toll plaza.

Often when we go to Keys, we go that way early in the morning.

Just my two cents as having lived in Fort myers for a few years until recently.... GCTC sucks balls. You're going to end up with a bunch of stupid ass drunks ****ing with you and wanting to fight you. I lived very close to there and my gf and I used to go to the Coldstone for ice cream all the time, until they got all the bars opened up that would get all the idiots there wasted beyond their wildest dreams. I had a guy want to fight me because my gf and I were sitting inside our car eating ice cream because it was cold outside. He wanted my parking space, and we weren't planning on leaving yet. He'd have ended up knocked the **** out if my gf hadn't kept me calm.

Seriously, Coconut Point is at least a billion times better than GCTC. Better restaurants, better people, better shopping, better design, better aesthetics. The only reason to go to GCTC is to go to the super target or costco. Or if you're really desperate, Miromar Outlets is still better than GCTC.

As another side note, if Alligator Alley is closed, it's way faster to go across the north way taking Southern Blvd west and skirting Lake Okeechobee. Unless you're from the Keys or very far south Miami. The north way is a little complicated though, so get your Mapquest printed out.

correct exit is 128. Go east, mall on right, go toward Belk sign.

As a non-G8 owner but admirer, I stopped by for a few to lurk. I only had a few minutes since my wife and daughter were in the car but I have to say that it's amazing there is not a single bad color in this car. They all look great! Nice cars one and all! :thumbsup:

ARRRGH! I wish I could have been there. I stay at a hotel on the mall on a regular basis and NEVER see a G8 in the lot!
