g8@q.com 03-23-2008, 09:58 AM Vauxhall guage set looks great, too bad Pontiac didn't use them. With the center dash piece, guage set, and oil temp sender and fittings. I wonder how interchangable it would be with the Pontiac parts?
sccaGTO 03-23-2008, 10:48 AM The HSV/VXR setup is the only way to go. I saw some pics of the GXP guages. They oil pressure is still displayed in Bar (rather than PSI). :slap:

Is it just me, or did they seperate the climate control unit in the the gxp?

KaiserM715 03-24-2008, 08:19 AM This is the setup I want. This is awesome. Can our Aussie friends help us out with something like this? The only thing different about the G8 is that the numbers on the speedo and tach are white, rather than red, but I could live with the red gauges over the LED gauges.

I don't think so. Looks like the climate control of the regular G8s.

JHP may come up with something that could bridge the gap between GXP & HSV. They were the biggest supporter of the GTO when it was out. They still are, actually. They went as far as building LHD versions of the Holden guages for the GTO. They fit in the same area as the guages would on the HSV/VXR.
menace 03-24-2008, 10:21 PM The less spec'd models have nothing there.
Maybe that could be an option.

I wouldn't mind having the gauge cluster especially from the Vauxhall VXR8 or Clubsport R8. A little extra information. I also noticed we could pick up a leather covered console cover for those that do not like the stock version.

A good spot for people to place their portable nav units.

Depending on the space, it may be interesting to tear a portable nav apart and do a custom install in the top area. It could give the in dash look- it would be a lot of work though.

VENOM 03-27-2008, 07:29 AM I have a tom tom and i wonder if it would fit in there?
What about going to a tint shop and having them tint that so it isn't so bright? idk if that would work
JAWDRPNG8 04-01-2008, 12:41 AM maybe some NOS gauges for pressure and temp would look good there ? hmmmmmm
baabootoo 04-02-2008, 12:09 AM Or just an aluminum plate etched with something!
