Eibach frequently posts a part number when they are in development. Lets see how long these are going to be back ordered.

I spoke with H&R yesterday and they told me their springs are not being manufactured yet.

I put the eibach pro kit on my 300, it set perfectly and rode great, plus much better handling. There kits usually run about $250.00 at the tirerack. I don't know much about the h&r, lot of the tuners use those kits. The tirerack has those for about $250.00, they are backordered. I just want to drop mine about 1 in front and 1.5 in the rear. Its got too much rack. I want the fenders to set about an inch above the tire.

It took Eibach 18 months to produce a spring for the G6 after they posted a part number.

That's pathetic.

I'm local to them, they are three blocks away, I'm going to ask them if they need a test mule to get a kit going.

When you say local, do you mean Irvine?
With the 19's, I think I'll leave my ride at stock height.

You know that the 18's and 19's have the same outside diameter, right?

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking.

The G8 responds exceptionally well to a modest drop in ride height and a less modest bump in damping.

This car really only needs about 1.5 rear and 1.0 in the front. That will take care of the rake and lay the wheel wells closer to the top of the tires. The g8 lowered on this forum was way to low in the rear. The front was just about perfect. Unless your going to track race these cars, just a modest drop will make all the difference in the world with a staggered set of 19's. Thats my plan. I just ordered my wheels and I'm really wanting to give it a drop as soon as something is available. I'll will definetly use eibach if they'll get off there ass. I would consider pedders if they had a rear drop closer to what I listed above.

Pedders says their 2954 coils for the front have a ride height with 19" wheels of 624mm. The 2955 for the rear are 642 mm and the 2957 for the rear are 654mm. the difference in the rear is about 1/2" depending upon which spring you choose. Instead of using the 2954/2955 combo, you could use the 2954/2955 if you don't like the look in the photos of the lowered G8. Pedders should confirm but , on paper this looks like an option.

i would only want to drop it .5 to .75 of an inch. lots of speed bumps and steep driveways here in NJ

:iagree: 1/2" in front, and 3/4" in the rear at most. Charlotte has some terrible roads. Anyone from Pedders know the part numbers to make that happen? Plus any extra parts that are easy to replace around that same area that could be conveniently done at the same time.

Have any of you put a jack to it? I did. If you drop the car an inch, you not only make jacking a flat tire almost impossible, you also may hit more curbs. GM will thank you though!

This car isn't as low as my 300, I dropped it and loved it. I have one of those really cool aluminum jacks that goes down to 3.5 inches. It will go under just about anything. You don't have a spare anyway, so, the jack is optional. You have an air pump with some kind of fix a flat stuff in it. Kinda sucks, but, thats what they decided to do.

I think I'll be buying a spare - a cheap, light, narrow rim with a good all-season tire - and pack a jack as well.

Don't use the tire in a can.....bad news. I'd suggest everyone pick up a spare 18" wheel. Guess you could even go with a 16" with a 60+ series tire, just make sure the final diameter is the same on all 4!

Our Dealer Haddad Motorsports has a set of our 2957 springs so we should have some ride heights and pictures from that shortly.
