Here are my first batch of autoshow pictures of the Pontiac G8 show car.

I also got a video, which I'm working on getting working.

Also my friend Andrew got a bunch of good up close pictures with his DSLR camera. I'll be posting those late tonight.

Thanks for taking the pictures and sharing!

Was there anything that stood out or surprised you concerning the G8?

Most of us have only seen the car in photos.....just wondering what it's like up close.

Thanks again!

Looks much better in person that I expected, not as "big" as the photos made it seem to me. The angles and lines are even more pronounced in person. I'm very happy with it overall.

Did you get to see the trunk? I'm interested in the size.

We were told the trunk area was 14 cubic feet. The center rear seat gives access to the trunk. The fuel tank is under the back seat and the battery is in the floor pan with the spare tire.

Just so people won't think that it is in the trunk here is a photo of the gas tank being installed on a Commodore from underneath.

Also, I had been reading that the size of the trunk was 17.5 cubic feet which is bigger than a Charger.

Cargo volume is in fact 17.5 cu. ft. per preliminary specs. I assume that does not include any of the back seat. BTW, interior volume is 124.5 cu.ft., which according to EPA classes is a large car. The GP is midsize. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_size_class

I got my friend Andrew's photos. He had a good DSLR camera with some good lenses. So he got a lot of good photos.

Some were even taken by the great Pontiac "Product Specialist" from the inside of the car after Andrew asked him to take some stuff up close. He didn't know how to use the camera so well, but we got some decent ones.

Enjoy!

Haha I only said Andrew's name earlier. ;)

You can get my high-res my clicking on them, but his were SUPER HUGE so I reduced the largest size by a bit. I may put them up, remind me.
