Was wondering if anyone would be down for an NJ meet? I was thinking maybe on a Wednesday night to go to Raceway park and have some fun. If not, then maybe on a Saturday or a Sunday meet at a Hooters or something and get some pictures.

im not sure whats going on but I know its supposed to rain lol. Wednesday nights are test and tune nights, so for like $15 you can make as many passes as you want. Usually its pretty crowded.

Guys this weekend 5/16/2008 there is a Hot import nights in englishtown. I know alot of guys might think it's imports but i've been to these shows and there are always a fair amount of american muscle. Maybe you should plan to meet there in the parking lot or something. Just my 2 cents anyway. I'll be there not in the show but my car will be in the lot. Coming from CT!

You can bring your own as long as it's DOT/SNELL approved (I forget which) or you can rent one. I'm not big on rentals only for the fact they had someones possible dirty head in there. Also, make sure to wear long pants as some tracks don't let you run with shorts on.

i go to raceway in shorts all the time. they always say I need to put jeans on next time, but they have never stopped me. You can rent or buy helmet, but like it was stated, get ur own, they are pretty cheap and will last you forever.

There's a local car show this weekend at my fav hang out, BUNGs, bar and restaurant on rt 130. Bud girls are supposed to show up...so they say.....no registration required, I think it will be cool if all the G8 owners show up and we over-run the classic car guys.....

might be late notice, but there is a car show at NAPA autoparts here in Piscataway, NJ (might be south plainfield). they are giving away gift certificates, huge trophies, and other stuff. Supposed to be pretty big. there are tons of food places around also.

Hey guys, just signed up after meeting siredrocit at the Staten Island meet (cool guy and nice car!). I realized after looking around that I've seen a bunch of you guys around before. Blackbirdws6, I live around the corner from you and run by your house all the time, lol. (sending you a PM)

G8 owners are welcome to join the NJGTOGroup (basically a Jersey based modern and classic GTO club) and attend our many G.T.Gs. If interested sign up using "Blazen Orange" as your referal.

for some reason the raceway park site is down. Anyway, I think June 20th is Pontiac Day at Raceway Park. I have been to that before and its a great event to go to. Trans Am's, Grand Prix, GTO's, and hopefully some G8's. Every time I have gone to Pontiac Day or anything, I am the only G8 :( Everyone loves the car though. I think it would be great to get a bunch of G8's together and see what we can do at Raceway Park.

Was thinking of maybe getting a meet together for July 1st, a Wednesday night at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.

It's only $15 and you get unlimited runs. Plus just hang out in the pit area. Usually pretty big turn out since people can just race all night under the lights.

I'll probably be at ATCO raceway tuesday if anyone is in the area.
