Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I own a Charger, but I helped my buddy (hope he signs up here soon) get a pretty good deal on an orange G8 last week. I heard lots of guys talking about them on the charger forums when they first came out, and I thought they looked pretty good too. (Thought about getting a GTO before my daughter was born, but got a little paranoid about getting another Pontiac b/c the Grand Am GT that I used to own back in the day was a PITA once the water pump went out). :(

Anyway, I'm not sure if my friend will actually register on here even though I showed him the site yesterday, so I just thought I would check out some threads so I can help him make some of the mods that he's looking to make on that clean new G8 he just picked up! :)

I am in the same position, welcome dude. Been lurking since I love V8 muscle despite owning a turbo 4-banger (only option I had was subaru for a manual tranny, awd, 4drs, and nice interior...unlike EVOs :) )

I tried to convince my buddy who finally registered on here to get a G8, but he ended up with a GXP. How do you compare the back seat room of the charger to the G8?

I don't know only b/c I haven't really sat in the backseat yet (just drove it around a bit yesterday). The Chargers and 300s both have a ton of leg room in the back to me, but I didn't really pay attention to the legroom in the back of my buddies G8 yet.

I only ask because I felt the G8 had tons more room when my friend and I test drove a charger srt8 back to back with a GXP. I am really starting to think the chargers front seats were really far back... Nice car (the charger), wish I had some extra dough around for a 3rd car because I do not know how I will tell my grand children I did not partake in world war 2 of the muscle car round!

I almost traded my subaru specb for an 06 GTO a couple months ago as well. Deal breaker was in the really really long throw tranny, semi-shady dealer, and back seat entrance was rediculous...along with trunk space. Loved the ls2 though! Glad I kept the 4 door in the long run though
