yup its official. i finally saw a G8 on the road :err: it was a MGM G8 just like mine. i flashed him and waved and he just smiled back. i guess the G8 wave still hasnt caught on. :secret::driving:

I saw one the same color as yours on Route 66 last week. They went by as I sat at the lite so I wasn't able to wave. Prolly wouldn't have mattered anyways since i was in my truck & they wouldn't know why I was waving. :err:

What is the G8 wave?

Saw two G8's on the way to vegas Thursday, 7/2 (loop 303, AZ) and one coming back on 7/4 (93, AZ). No flashing, just the a wave (which was really the Jeep and bus driver wave) and I got no love. I must be doing it wrong.

This thread title made me laugh - I was driving home last night after buying a G8 and thinking that I don't see them very often. About 15 minutes later I come up on a car and as I get closer I think..."the reflectors over the exhaust look like they could be a G8...the tails might be....there's a new dealer's paper plate on the back" - Oh Hell, it is another brand new G8 GT on the road....Now I'm not special anymore!!! LOL It was funny coming across another new GT the same night I bought one.

I still have to see one. My wife has seen a white GT in Rancho Cucamonga though.

g8ace - I actually saw you friday by the Cerritos auto center after i went for a test drive. I was laughing because I never see any on the road and as soon as I leave the dealer I saw one. Then I come on here and see this post, haha. I ended up buying in Buena Park. Picking it up tonight!

For some reason, I don't see many around here. Doesn't make sense as FWD is useless here. Anyway, I pull into the parking lot where I work and I do a double take. Literally. Except that mine is a 2008 (730 of 888) and the one in the lot was a 2009, it is a mirror image. White, onyx leather trim, premium package, all seasons. Another difference was that this one was bought at the local dealer, mine wasn't.

Yeah, it was at Simpson. One of the best buying experiences I've ever had.

I saw a Sport Red Metallic GT yesterday on the 10-E in Pomona. I followed him till he got off in Covina. It was an older gentleman. It was a shock to me when I saw it lol.

I saw my first one while I was driving back from the dealership with my new plates. He followed me a bit, but when he passed me, I looked over at him, and he was just looking straight ahead. whatever lol

I got 3K off MSRP and took the 0% financing. (I could've taken 4K in rebates in lieu of the financing deal). It's a nice ride. I just picked up the G8 last Sunday so I haven't racked much seat time yet. The A6 is nice and has a sport mode that's decent. The GTO is quicker and in some ways I feel a better built car. Are you thinking about picking up a G8? I'll be at C&C tomorrow with the new Goat.

On my way home from work today I was passed by a black GT with a custom plate and a "USC" plate frame. He was slicing and dicing through traffic on the 405 going North in Irvine.

I saw a black GT in Upland yesterday on Mountain Blvd in Upland, CA. I was on my way to Tommy's.

Sounds like some of you guys are in the same general area as me... I'm over in Pomona, just south of the 10 fwy at indian hill. Haven't seen many other G8s in the area yet.

Anyway, tomorrow night I'll be with a couple of my Mustang buddies at this pizza joint in Montclair called Biagios. Its just north of the 10 fwy at Mountain. Swing by if you can, I'd like to check out some of the local G8s.
