Differences between the cat-back systems were nominal. This jumped up considerably with the addition of headers which indicates that the manifolds and stock cats (almost 90 bend in them) are the restriction more so than the stock exhaust system. Obviously the gain becomes more as you move more air. Turbo or Supercharged G8's are likely to see even greater gains from switching out the stock system to an aftermarket cat-back.
