I bought a White Hot G8 GT last night (11pm) and the dealer didn't fill it with gas. I stopped by the gas station this morning and couldn't find the button to open the gas cover door.

I would look in the manual, but I took it out of the car last night.

Anyone mind helping out a moron?

Just give the door a push, it will open right up.

I think that the fuel door locks when you lock the doors and unlocks when you unlock the doors. I think that someone posted that earlier. My VW Golf does the same thing.

My last car was a GTO where it is on the dash so I spent a ton of time looking there then the driver's floor and the glove box. Makes one feel like a bonehead.

Thanks for the help!

Ha! I did the same thing! The dealer never went over the car with me when I purchased. I had to read the owners manual...dont feel bad!

I hope the next time you need gas, you go back to the dealer and have them give you your deserved fillup!

Yeah, which cheaper dealership wouldn't give you a tank of gas?

Exactly. Your dealer owes you a voucher for a free tank of gas. Given the timing (11 pm), not filling it up is understandable, but make sure they make you whole. Every new car should be delivered with a full tank of gas.

I just got back from finishing the paperwork and did get my free tank of gas. I also had them remove that dealer billboard thing that they superglued to the back.

I'll miss my GTO, but I am very pleased.
