I'd like to do Cruisin' the Coast this year now that I have a car I feel comfortable bringing to that event! I've never been!

I know No Problem Raceway is a bit of a drive for you, but they have drag racing every Friday night. Perhaps we can schedule a Friday for the So. LA Gators (G8ors!) to meet up.

Haha, yeah that would help. I've been having some headaches with a "finicky" unlock button on my keyfob so I would probably stand there pushing the button for a minute until I went up and looked in the window... :banghead:

Correction: Midnite Madness is Saturday the 21st, not Friday. GTO guys are meeting at the Outback Steakhouse near Tanger outlet mall (Gonzales, I think) at 7:30 if anyone is interested in meeting up before Midnite Madness.

I installed the Magnaflow "Aggressive" kit #16795. It is far from what I consider "aggressive", but it is VERY noticeable. I am all over LA, MS, AL, and pass through Slidell pretty often. Let me know when you ant to hear it. In fact, I will probably be heading to Mobile again either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Leaning towards 04-07 CTS-V, but exterior styling of G8 is much more to my liking. Plus it appears with a cai and some tuning, performance will be comparable. Let me know if you're willing to help me expand my debt. In the meantime, I'm putting up wife's '06 Fusion SE I4 w/leather, extended warranty, 30k miles, if anyone is looking.

I felt like it was time to get a car with a backseat. Turning 31 this year. My other choices are 335i, IS350, or the G37..None of them compares to the price or the power that the G8's has. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I just signed up today so I have a lot of reading to do.

Yep, I went to the same place for my exhaust work. I appreciate the heads up on the CAI, I think I prefer the Roto-fab. Got any dyno sheets or other info on your tune? I'm currently planning on getting VMS's tune and intake package later this year.

Welcome. Computer mods?? Tuned perhaps? If not, I offer tuning here in New Orleans. If you think you love it now, wait until it's shifting properly on a 93 octane tune. I also have a UD pulley, $165 and NE CAI, $100 for sale.

I know, I can't believe it. Mine will be a year old at the end of this month. And I've got over 25,000 miles! Anyway, the show is Saturday, May 16th.

Glad to see I'm not the only one around here to put 20,000+ in the first year, I'm sure you'll agree its been fun. I still didn't get anything about the show but I'll mark my calander. I may have my dad's 35th Anniv Camaro SS there too.

I just wanted to shout out that I'm a native of Shreveport, LA. Had my G8 GT for a couple of months now and love it. Anyone know of any local shops that could install headers (for reasonable price) for future reference? Also, Brad I was thinking of doing the same X-pipe set up you have removing the two small resonators and that big ole can in the middle. Is that what you did, and if so does it make the gurgle(popcorn) noise after you let off the gas that other setups make? Hope that made sense!

That was me.

I just wanted to shout out that I'm a native of Shreveport, LA. Had my G8 GT for a couple of months now and love it. Anyone know of any local shops that could install headers (for reasonable price) for future reference? Also, Brad I was thinking of doing the same X-pipe set up you have removing the two small resonators and that big ole can in the middle. Is that what you did, and if so does it make the gurgle(popcorn) noise after you let off the gas that other setups make? Hope that made sense!

Hey, it's good to have another ArkLaTex G8 on here. I've seen another PBM driving around south Bossier on Barksdale Blvd, was that you? I'm not a native, I work on the base, but I've been here about 7 years. Do you go to the track at all? I've been trying to make it over to Monroe since Red River Raceway was closed but I keep running into conflicts at work. OTOH, I hear that RRR has finally been bought and should be reopening by June so I may just wait til then to get my 1/4 mile fix.

I'm in the Shreveport vicinity most of the time but who knows it could have been me! I've also seen a PBM V6 in Shreveport when I go to work early in the morning. No I haven't taken mine to the track. I usually try to stay "fairly" easy going on my engine but you know you just have to feel all 361 horses sometimes! :burnout:

After lookin' since March, picked up one last Monday in Metry. Liquid red, permium and roof. De-badged it except for front emblem. Didn't notice 'em much before, but have seen three this week in NOLA CBD.

A lot of the people didn't even know what it was.
There was about 100 cars total.

After lookin' since March, picked up one last Monday in Metry. Liquid red, permium and roof. De-badged it except for front emblem. Didn't notice 'em much before, but have seen three this week in NOLA CBD.
