: For Sale: 2008 G8 GT 4100 miles
Ehogg 05-27-2009, 12:57 PM Hello,
As much as this saddens me I am selling my 2008 G8 GT. It has 4,100 miles and is in excellent condition. It is Panther Black with two tone red and black seats/interior.
Please visit the autotrader ad here for more info (http://*******.com/pontiacg8) and pictures
I'm asking $25,500 but I'll consider lower offers if they are fair
I can send you the carfax report, it was too large of a file to attach to this post.
The car is located in Naples, FL (34102). I'm currently looking into how i would ship the car if needed. I'm sure that is something we could arrange.
Please call me with any questions.

MABg8ter 05-27-2009, 03:40 PM Leather or cloth seats? It doesn't appear to have a moonroof, is that right?
Ah, I recognize that car now, it's one of the ones that's been on cars.com for a few months.
Good luck with your sale, you will need it.

Two-tone cloth interior and no moonroof.
I just put it on cars.com last week, but thanks for the vote of confidence

You can expect about 21k if you want to sell it.
I just bought an 2009.5 sport/prem packages for 26,500.
Plus I looked at used and GT's with leather they where around 20k to 24k .... Not trying to burst your bubble, just being realistic.

p.s. nice buy. I appreciate the help. I probably sholdnt have even listed it on this site because everyone here knows too much. I'm better off with the casual buyer from auto trader or something like that. Thanks
MABg8ter 05-27-2009, 05:59 PM You're probably right. If a dealer offered you 22k, I'd take it. Because god knows the used ones don't sell for the 25k they ask for. So it's not a bad idea to trade it in for that much before they realize taking it in at that price will lose them money?
Rob Moser 05-27-2009, 06:54 PM If you need to ship it there are several local carriers that will ship it north to say MI or IL or MO for less than $800.
Will tell you though... I bought an 09' from Dixie for $27,700. with leather & Sport (no sunroof) in Jan. Had I waited till Feb 1, would have saved another $500. My $1,000. GM $$$ lowered the price to $26,700. and with TTL, I wrote a check for $28,658. My 08' from Devoe w/GM friends discount & GM $1,000. rebate, cost $32,600. on the road - has every option.
Consequently, you may do better selling it out of SW FL.
sea91382 05-28-2009, 07:54 PM If you can get $22K as a trade you should take it. I just neg. on a 08' white hot with leather and sunroof, 12,000 miles and I got them down to $22,800.
I really like the black though and would prefer cloth. Would you come down any on your price?

I got my '09 GT, silver with onyx interior with sport, roof, and premium in march for $25,600.

If you're trading for another car, you'll save another $1320 assuming 6% sales tax. That tends to make private party sales less attractive.

Depends on your state. Here in New Mexico, even though our sales tax rate is high, it's only 3% on cars. At least so far this year. Still, you're right; it's something to consider. But what I made on the private sale compare to the real allowance the dealer was giving me (no trade price less trade difference), more than made up for the loss of sales tax that I would have saved.
