Looks good. I was actually at the dealer putting a deposit on the ignition orange G8 GT coming in next week when you were there pickin up your car. (I was the tired lookin guy sitting by the G8 in the showroom lol)

Car looks great and take it easy out there. Respect the power if this is your first car with some balls. I remember the silly crap I did in my TA when I was your age (only 24 now).:angel:

Think about it. 18years old, first car with ALOT of power... I would have killed myself in a week with this thing if I was in his shoes.

Im one of mbowers good friends..hes 18 but doesnt have his license yet...he let one of his older friends drive it and took off stabilitrac, eve tho he said not to, he friend said he knew what he was doing...so he gunned it from a red light, lost control and ran into 2 street signs.

Everythings cool. I wasnt driving my car. One of my brothers friends drove it and did what i told him not to. Now as a result my car is in the shop getting reapired. I should have it back in 2-4 weeks. I guess its a lesson learned the hard way.

I was gonna post another comment about respecting the power of the car. Too late. But, it's not the first G8 to get into a wreck. A GM employee fell asleep behind the wheel & crashed one before the production models went on sale.

Congrats on the new car! Take your time to get used to it and you'll be just fine - they're not fast enough to get into anything too major.

I think this makes Mbower the owner of the first production G8 to get royally jacked up. Good luck on getting the necessary parts in 2-4 weeks. Are G8s even going to be in every state by then? :eek2:

i talked to the guy today and he said there was front body damage(hood, bumper, fender, head light) and that the suspension system got messed up. He estimated about 10,000. For the record I DID NOT CRASH MY CAR, all though i was stupid enough to let someone else drive it.

It happens. My step mom totaled my first car 3 months after i got it, only had 300 miles on the clock. So now there is no chance she is going to be driving this.

(p.s. she’s not paying for it)

there was alot of damage underneath the car. As for the kid he is a nice kid but made a stupid mistake that ****ed my car up but it is goin on his insurance. Oh and The estimate came out to 12k. Ill post pics soon.

yea thats why im really frusrtated about it, and also im prob not gonna have the car back for a while because the place were i am getting it fixed can only get some of the parts needed to fix it.

lol i saw that on autoblog earlier, and yes the fenders are plastic i believe.
