Just picked up my ignition orange GT w/ sport and premium package yesterday. How can I tell what # G8 I have (i.e. whether it was the 500th one assembled, or the 900th)?

Last three digits of the serial number if it is an "888" model. Not sure how the SN's work after that.

Yeah, VIN. First 888 should be something like "...00888" or lower.

Are you the guy who bought it in Kenosha, WI? If so, it is an 888.

If the last of the vin is 88___ (where _ _ _) are a # less than 888, that is your #.

Last 6 didgets will tell you. 888's read 988XXX with the last three being the sequence within the 888 series.

No - not the guy from Kenosha. Just a "gal" from Michigan that's been following the G8 since last summer. And it turns out that I don't have an 888. Didn't think I did, but just curious - thanks for the info.
