O my gawd!!!!!!

This answers two questions?

1. Yes an Eaton Supercharger or MagnaCharger will fit

2. 20s look sweet

"The positive displacement supercharger achieves reasonable mpg on the open road (we were getting 27 to the gall)". Are they for real?! Holy crap. They're getting a 630hp S/C engine with 27mpg and we're getting a 360hp N/A engine with.. 20ish? Booo!

Does anybody think a performance company will do a package like this to a G8 down the road?

Good call. The Imperial gallon is about 1.2 US gallons.. but still, ~22mpg is pretty impressive for 600hp. :popcorn2:

it may be klics, not miles. which would be roughly 17 mpg

NO it is MPG..........BUT as said above our gallon is a different size to the US gallon.....................22-23mpg (US) is about right.

I think it's about $8 US per gallon over there. When we were in England 2 years ago it was about $7.60.
They sell it by the litre and it was 99.9pence per liter.

I mean a package where a company will do so much junk that they put their own name on it, like a Rousch Mustang, Saleen, etc.

I'd bet Calloway is one of the first. They do Corvettes and are therefore familiar with supercharging GM engines.

Of course unless the wortec guys do a package for the G8. They would beat everyone to the punch if they Americanize that gorilla Vauxhall with 600+ hp (unreal). Forget the Chargers and go Lambo hunting with that piece.

Or totally demoralize any M series BMW or AMG MB. Now that would be fun.

Actually if the British pound rises, it should lower the cost of gas, as oil is priced in US$. Of course, the dollar price has risen a lot in the past 2 years. Thank the liberal democrat eco-wackos who won't let us drill for oil in the Artic, or off the coast of Florida, and California where there is mega oil waiting.

Get the Parliament to repeal the $4 gallon in taxes charged there. No reason other than taxes that gas in the UK could not be the same price as the USA.

i firmly intend on getting rid of the chrome window trim when i get my G8, and those pics serve as reinforcement for my decision.

petrol cheap!! thats a oxymoron! the UK has NEVER been cheap!! most people on this forum could not have the cars they have if they was in the UK. petrol prices and insurance would kill you!!

In the UK the GT would cost you around 70k dollars. Add the 10 dollars a gallon and the tax then you have no chance! as for insurance... good luck with that!

They are doing a high performance here in Oz as well, the W427. Yep 427 cubes and 0- 60mph in around 5 sec. Only to draw backs that I have heard is that they are only building 90 of them at about $150K EACH!!!!!!
