It appears hardly anybody from Pennsylvania owns a G8??????? I have one tagged but have yet to hear anything on it. I'm depressed to read that some people are ordering 2009 models. What in the Sam Hill is going on????????:eek2:

There are a couple in dealerships around. I know there is a red in Exton and Orange in West Chester. I saw my first one on the road earlier this week in Malvern.

Ok I just went to the dealer and looked at a liquid red G8 GT...w/ leather and sunroof 19'whls loaded..

My question is do you guys think that they will sell it for GMS price? My ftaher in law is a GM employee.

Finally...... we have a G8 GT in Lebanon. Not the one I tagged but there is a Gray G8 GT without a sunroof! Sweet looking car and I've discovered........it's sweet no matter color it is:D

Got a call from my dealer this afternoon. He told me my G8 has been shipped. :quoties:Just wondering.....any idea from this point how long it will be till my car arrives? I seem to be getting different impressions from some of the posts I'm reading.

Depends on if he means shipped from California (expect 3 weeks) or from Australia (expect 7-10 total) He would not have any info on before it reaches our shores so you should be cutting it pretty close for the $1000 loyalty rebate (expires 5/21)

I asked him if he meant shipped or invoiced he said it was already invoiced. He did say the G8 he just got in this last friday took 3 weeks from invoice and he's hoping mine takes less time. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed.

I think GM incentives are by region...the entire northeast. Got my G8 in NY, got $1000 loyalty, $1000 GM card and $500 "coupon" whatever that is. Got it last weekend.

Just test drove a white GT yesterday out of Wright Pontiac in Carnegie, PA, near Pittsburgh. The sales manager was very friendly about letting me take it out for a spin without the "let's talk numbers first" pressure, which I've gotten at other dealerships. The engine sounded great, and the steering and braking were excellent. So, I ordered a blue GT with the premium package.

Why, oh why, didn't GM make some of these babies with manual transmissions?! Yeah, I know the GXP will have it, but now we're talking $40 grand.

I finally pulled the trigger last night at Wright Pontiac in Carnegie (Pittsburgh) for a black GT with the premium package and sunroof. I wanted blue, but there's none for sale within 500 miles. I highly recommend Wright Pontiac.

BTW, remember the "24-hour test drive" that GM had a few years ago, where you could take a demo home overnight? Well, Wright Pontiac still offers that, even for the G8GT.

The sales manager told me that they call it the puppy-dog sale. Just like a puppy, if you take it home, you'll keep it.

spotted black g8 with black rims on 202 right now, today going south turned left on rt 1 in chadds ford, I was the silver gto looking at you.

Seems that there in fact should be more G8's in the Keystone State. I found one following me in a car wash and we compared notes. I have the Pacific Slate and so far have invested in the Cold Air Intake. Great car thus far.

I've only seen three so far in PA.

So, your car passes, and everything is fine. Then, you pull out of the parking lot and get pulled over by PSP and they issue you a "fix it" ticket and require you to remove the tint.
Sound *****ed up??? It is.

I had an older EC pickup of mine tinted.....don't remember the percentages. Back window was dark, EC port windows were limo black, and the fronts were the lightest of the 3, but still considered illegal back in the 90's when PA State Inspection governed it. Back then, you could paint your rear window black, put cardboard over it...whatever you wanted, just couldn't do ANYTHING to the fronts.

Now it seems they took the responsibility away from the inspection station all together.....but like others state, you can still get a ticket from PSP. But that tintlaw link no longer states unlimited on the rear windows???

I got a speeding ticket in Delaware by the DSP and he got me for the tint. My window was down by the time he pulled me over. He asked me to raise my drivers side window and he actually pulled out a light meter and it failed. I simply stated that it was legal in PA....he said as he pointed to his arm patch...you in Delaware mister!!! I stayed cool (was polite the entire time) as he wrote the ticket, he handed it to me and as he left I said "Thank you very little". I wanted to fight it SO bad, but the 2+hr drive to their courthouse wasn't worth it to me. It was a total zinger of a speed trap too....55mph to 35. He was a MC cop and hid basically behind the sign. No way you could slow down enough in time.

It was hard to drive at night, and I plow snow, so on dark snowy nights it was too tough to see. My new truck is stock.

Yeah, I've heard of a few townships in Jersey that will give you the old tint ticket as well, even if you're from out of state. :bs:

The black one you saw might've been me. I live in Bethel Park but get up to Beaver County frequently on business. The only distinguishing feature is a small St. Andrews flag (blue and white) on the rear window. Since I bought this car in June, I've only seen three other G8s in all of W. PA.

West Manchester Twp. and Northern Regional. First gave me 10 days to remove, I did not. Second gave me ticket without directive to remove. Both officers liked the car though.

Want to get the exhaust changed. I already installed and removed the Magnaflow Catback and it is collecting dust at the Mineke Muffler Shop. If he still has it, the first $400 takes all. It was used for 2 days. Too much drone for me. I want the exhaust sound with the cabin sound integrity. Any suggestions? Where in the Lehigh or Delaware Valley can I get the exhaust, CAI, and tune done in one visit. Any recommendations? I have an 09 Pacific Slate, and it has its braking issues, (pulls to left) and I already replaced the tires after 1500 miles. I really have not enjoyed this ride as much as I would like to.

The one I saw saw Saturday had normal rims so guessing it was you. It was turning right onto 100 south one light up from 113.

I don't like the dealer messing with stuff like that, plus they look at you cross eyes when you make thos kinds of requests...

Thers's a local VW/Audi shop that i would take my cars too, but I don't know if I want them messing with my G8 as they've never seen one before... plus they normally only do imports...

The reason I asked is because on Sunday, 12/14, I was passing through harrisburg on 83, and there was a red GT getting off at 26th (or what ever exit that is) Street, and looked real sweet. Fom what I could tell it had aftermarket wheels (it was moving) and dark tint.

Guess there is another on lurking around up there. :)

Just got my wife a 2008 GT, used w/ 11K on the clock. Phantom Black, Sunroof, Cloth. Have to change the summer only tires tomorrow (Christmas day!), but it's a good thing I have a dealership at my disposal!!!

didn't know dealers were capable of dyno tuning...happy modding...especially when you cant void the warranty no matter what.

I'm not capable of dyno tuning. I guess you WEREN'T talking to me after all!

And yes, it's nice being able to warranty stuff. Not so nice when the stuff people do causes their problem and they want me to have GM cover it anyway... But the way I see it, if your mods didn't cause your problem the dealer shouldn't be giving you crap about handling the warranty.

Really strange day yesterday. I saw a A Brazen orange GTO going east on 76 near Philly. Then when I was parking at home, there was a Blue GTO around the corner. Then on my home near University City, there was a Brazen Orange GTO a few cars behind me (probably the same car from the morning).

I just ordered a Corsa exhuast for my car, it is to be delivered tomorrow and I hope to have it on in a week or two. Once its on you are more than welcome to check it out.

Hey, I was in Erie on Wednesday. Saw two GTO's and two Challangers.
Just on vacation cruising around. Didn't see any G8's.

I'm in South Coventry (Pottstown) and I work in Exton.

Bought mine at Granite Run Pontiac in Media - I'm the second owner. 1st guy traded it in with 2400 miles on it and Flowmaster 44s. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting the exaust when I test drove it. (But I actually used it as a bargaining tool with the dealer - i told him that i was concerned that the car had been modified) :boink: It would be cool if by chance the first owner reads this board.

It doesn't get out much. My dad is garaging it for me until I can bring it out to California. He only takes it out about once a week or so. Enough that he already doesn't want to give it back, though.

BTW - If anyone in the area knows of a good detail shop, let me know. The paint on mine has swirl marks from the last owner's apparent bad washing technique, and I am too chicken-s*** to try and machine polish them out myself. I'd rather leave that to the pros.
