Here's a video of the Corsa dB Reds I just installed on my G8. This is the exact sound I was looking for. I also did the mid-muffler and double resonator delete. I kept the 2.25 stainless pipes. Definite HP gain as well. A very happy customer indeed.

hmm not bad at all ...and the tone seems somewhat like the tone from the corsa cat back ..and with mid. and res. deletes sounds great ..i may have to look into this option but the only possible down side to this option is .....how is the drone? if its minimal i may do this

I have the reds also. The drone is slightly less than that of the Magnaflow system (this is with aftermarket 2.5 tubing from the Magnaflow). His may drone even less than mine as his system doesn't sound quite as loud. Either way it will drone with the DB's.

There's a thread where someone did a double x-over, so instead of a single x in the exhaust, there were two x's. They also put a few aftermarket resonators in and said there was no drone with flowmaster 50's.

The double x might be something you want to look into to cut the drone down. I'm sure any exhaust shop could fab it up for you.

Was the $478.00 just for the mufflers? Or for the mufflers and the piping installed?

Just curious as to I really like the db reds and can pick em up on the web for $358 for a pair.

$478 was the price of the mufflers. Make sure you have the right part #

Morris....that muffler sounds bada55. I'm considering trading in my '05 Pathfinder for a G8 this coming November. How much was your muffler setup by the way?

Thanks, don't remember the exact prices. I got the mufflers direct at a discount for 180 or so, I think. I purchased the Magnaflow axle back from a member when they were sold out and hard to get, I think for about 600. The tips were kind of pricey and I paid too much for the install. All said and done I would have been better off waiting for the Corsa cat back, I just couldn't wait. IMO the blacks sound better than the reds but I don't know how much more they drone.
