Can we get some ride and drive reviews from the new GT owners? How does it handle on the interstate? Any float at 70-80? Lane change sharp and flat? Holds course or having to correct? How about back roads, corners flat? Control through rough corners? Steering feel...A/T shifting well? Sport or non-sport tires?

OK, I'll have a go.

My GT is equipped with the sport package, so it has the 19's and summer-only performance tires.

Freeway manners are impeccable. No float whatsoever at 80 - it feels screwed down to the highway. Quick lane change maneuvers are fast, positive, and flat.

The performance tires give a slightly rougher ride and more tire noise than the all-season tires. On twisty roads corner turn-in is precise. There is a bit of initial body roll but once the car takes a set it stays there.

On rough roads there is a bit of thumping from the tires and rear suspension, but the car maintains its composure well. Nothing like, say, a MB E55 with active suspension, but not bad, either.

The steering is slightly heavy but nothing that requires any manhanding - it's just not super-over-boosted. I am pulling slightly to the right, but with crowned roads that seems to be the norm.

The A/T shifts pretty well although there is some hesitation between shifts. Mind you, I am still driving with very little throttle as I have only 350 miles on it. I would imagine the A/T would get more positive with a bit heavier application of throttle. The sport mode seems to be a bit smoother than the standard mode but again I am soft-pedaling the thing right now.
